Default Jennings Figures!!!!

OK here it goes! After seeing pictures of those figures they must be produced. The companies that already exist must get on the band wagon with these figures. After all Miggle already sells his facemasks and decals. Sign Mr. Jennings up, make him a partner or do what you have to, to produce these figures. When these figures are produced they WILL set a new standard. The hobbyists will spend all their money on these figures. They will no longer want the toy figures. I will use this analogy. I have a friend who is into model railroading. Now, you can buy either toy trains or model trains. He buys model trains which are more expensive. My point being as a hobbyist I am willing to spend the money on model football players rather than toy football players. Praise to Mr. Jennings for he is the chosen one. He will lead us out of the steroetype for electric football. He will help create the hobby of Table Top Football.

I probably won't get rid of my existing stock figures, but I will purchase the new stuff. I think newer figures like BB or FF.com have shown us how much stock poses have evolved from the original fab 5. Dewayne's stuff will just be another step in that evolutionary process.

Judging by the photos and EG figures that I already have in my possession, the main difference is the McFarlane-ish detail that these figures possess.

As far as Dewayne being the "chosen-one"... to quote Bill Parcells: "Let's put away the anointing oil"

I look at Dewayne as the "next" person trying to carry the torch that Tudor, Miggle, ITZ, LW, GT, BB, FF.com, FOD, and all the custom figure makers have toted to this point. I think the manufacturers that came behind Miggle helped inspired them to revamp their regular Miggle figures and add the Bigmen repros and the Proline ITZ repros to their arsenal.

The standards in this hobby have been raised time and time again. If EG figures raises the bar just as others have done... we the consumer are the ones who are making out. Dewayne might be next, but hopefully he'll inspire someone else to carry the torch when the hobby starts yearning for something new in the future.

my 2 cents,

OldSchool

Good points Old School but I have never seen figures like Jennings. They are Mcfarlane for electric football. If somebody comes out with better one's then GOD BLESS THEM and their talent.

NC Hitman,

Bro I'm just as excited as you are to get new figures. As much as we are all pulling for Dewayne and for the guys in the Tornado Alley league who are coming out with new bases; I hope these guys aren't stressed out by trying to fulfill all of our expectations. When manufacturers come out with new products they are hoping these products become staples in our hobby. As you well know some products have hit the mark, and some haven't. The ones that don't receive support, sometimes get ridiculed and often get discontinued and dumped.

The thing I like about Dewayne is that he doesn't just want his figures to be aesthetically pleasing; he wants them to be functional on the board. He realizes that he could put out the best looking figures of all-time, but if they don't get the job done on the field then you might as well put them in display cases for show and tell.

Like you, I'm going support his efforts and wish him well, and Dewayne if you're reading this... Hurry up with those dang figures man, can't you see that we want some!!!

Peace,

OldSchool

This is my first post on this board but I've been reading it for a while. D. Jennings figures are AWESOME! Put me down for a pre-order. Funny thing though, Mcfarlane is coming out with miniature team sets that they describe as "Mcfarlane meets electric football". That was straight out of Todd Mcfarlanes mouth. Keep up the great work. Bill

being newer to the hobby then most i love these figures ! i am just starting to build my collection of teams and as most know who kinda keep track of thing i like to use ff.com figs as i find them to be the most realistic.
But that being said... i would LOVE to get a bunch of these figs and build some more teams, the attention to details is remarkable, they are just amazing. I honestly hope (and pray) someone works out a deal to produce these figures for the masses. i know they would sell out of them very quickly as most people seem to like them as much as i do.
