Oh My God.. I Can Pass!
lol
Well me and Weirdwolf had one of our usual scrums tonight... Difference was it wasn't a 3-0 or 3-3 scrum... Ended up an 18-17 scrum that was decided on the last play of the game and a 2 point conversion.. And a heck of a lot more fun than our 3-3 games. I appreciated the scrimmage Wolf.. I needed it since I haven't played now in over a year.. and with league games coming up this weekend.. In a season each of TAEFL and NHFL.. I had never hit a touchdown pass.. Sure.. I'd hit the target at times.. only to have the receiver miss..etc.. But mostly just missing the target by... that much! Tonight I hit two TD passes with the TDQ... Sure.. it was a scrimmage.. and my goal was to see how the passing would go.. so I only ran the ball once.. The TDQ changes everything for us.. Changes how we look at our own passing game.. changes how we play defense.. No longer is passing just for those who have been able to get an old TTQB with the "good" plastic or mastered a TTQB and then only to break it at the ankle.. and having to master yet another TTQB that is going to be at least a little different.. Ya.. You still have to line it up, get the angle right, and pass it.. So nothings automatic... but the playing field has been leveled.. as it should be. $15? I don't think you charged enough for them Geno. Thanks again Wolf!

Not to be critical, but 3-3?
I just don't understand what fun there could possibly be in playing a 3-3 game, and to never throw a touchdown pass. The target? The target should be your receiver. What target are you talking about. I guarantee that if you played one game with our self-passing system, you would never touch a TTQB, or TDQ again. We play games with realistic scores. It all depends on your defense, and passing ability. Some of our games might be 13-10, and others are 45-38--Much more realistic. I wish that I could do a demonstration for the entire MF nation. Again, not to be critical--I just don't understand.

Our 3-3 games were'nt as much fun as our 18-17 game last night.. Both Wolf and I said it.. over and over again while we were playing.. That's basically the point.. We've made some rule changes that will open up the offense.. And the TDQ, even without the rule changes, would have opened up my passing game.. We also allow the passing sticks in our league.. but as I said, I haven't played in a year.. so have never used them.. I doubt I will be using the sticks, except in a rare situation that may warrant it.. I like the "feel" of using the TDQ to pass.. But I'd never vote to get rid of the sticks now.. And to be honest.. I don't think you can make that guarantee now.. I love the TDQ.. BUT.. I would like to know what the self passing system is.. Thanks

Hi KB,
Greetings my friend. I received my TDQ about a week ago and I know the feeling. Now I am no Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino, or Joe Montana just to name a few. However, I am much better than I was prior to receiving my TDQ. At the same time I still like the passing sticks because it at least allows the defense an opportunity to make an interception on a passing play. Thanks for the update. Coach J |
