Played my first game last night
I finally received my vibrating football board yesterday & played my first game.
AFC-28 NFC-14 After playing I have some impressions & questions. I've heard several negative comments concerning the vibrating board, maybe it's because I don't have the other boards to compare it to but I found everything to be adequate....I'd prefer a larger playing area but for what it is I was satisfied. I also learned that "tweaking is everything!" My first play from scrimmage was a 32 yard gain up the middle, & then there were some plays that left me frustrated as my rb high tailed it the wrong way! Someone else in the know may have an answer to this, but how do the size of the players that come with the vibrating board stack up to the players I see painted on the board here? I thought i'd drag some paint out & do the player helmets & let me say after my first try I have nothing but respect for you guys that paint your figures. I kept thinking over & over there must be a size difference with the figures. Overall this experience was much better than when I was 12, LOL I look forward to many more games in the future. |

Greetings to you my friend and congratulations on your first game. As for your question unfortunately I am unable to answer it for you. I don't own a vibrating board and don't plan on purchasing one. The board seems to be smaller than the ones most of us play on so my guess is that the same is with the players. Remember this is ONLY a guess because I don't own that kind of board. Hopefully someone who owns one will respond.

the players are in the same scale (size) as the figures that you see on this board.

Buy some extra bases and begin to work on your tweaking. I started out with minor prong manipulation, just basic tweaking more for direction control than speed or strength. This is so I could run plays and avoid having what happened to you, the RB running in the wrong direction.
As I read and gained experience and picked up tips from here and there, I began focusing on strength, speed and specialty bases. I am still learning but it is a heck of a lot of fun. Get with some guys in your area if there are any and hang with them. You need to talk to and be around some experienced coaches to help get you up to speed.

I will tell you to get some speed diamond bases! They are awesome! They are fast, are pretrained from the factory, and are easy to tweak. I have taken 7 of them out of the package, tweaked them (with minimal effort) and all are on my starting squad!!
