Looking To The Future
I am sure that a lot of you know that this hobby has been in existence for over 60 years. That has brought me to ask myself, “How long will this hobby continue to thrive for our community?” Needless to say, this game\hobby has grown tremendously since its inception in 1947.
So, I ask the electric football community, “Where do you see this hobby in 20 years?” Maurice The Electric Coach

In 20 years
Depends on the major vendors...we are an aging community and the youth of this hobby is primarily relations of the middle-aged enthusiasts.
I've often said that my kids will be having "Madden tournaments" while their kids are playing 3-d techno simulation football (or whatever is hot in 20 years). There's too many factors (licenses, etc) for it to happen in a legit way from the bottom up. Don't mean to be Johnny Raincloud...just my observations. Was at a Packer function this week and talked to Coach McCarthy a bit about Electric Football. When I said that this was the "Madden of our youth" his reply was, "No Doubt." |
