Angry I am not a happy camper!

Why?....Why has the NFL changed the shield logo? I know this change is not new, as the official new logo came out at the begininng of the year, but I am starting to see it everywhere and I simply hate the new logo....

The NFL logo is our link to the past...it is the one thing that should have never been changed...and I am not happy with it. Below is the old logo and the new logo...one logo shows the gloried past of the NFL...the new logo just says "sell out" and "commercialization" to me...

One might ask...what is the big deal...well for me the NFL shield is the identity of the NFL...it has been the one constant through all the years of rule changes, jersey changes, instant replay etc. I just don't like it! Some things should just be left alone!

I was wondering what all of you thought about it?

Default Concur...but

the new logo represents all what is wrong with the NFL today. The NFL has been pushing money, hype, subpar athletes (when compared to the greats of yester year) and entertainment (which celebrities are at the games) as its priorities the for the last 15 years or so...not the game itself, & the support of its diehard fans. These are the reasons I cherish the days of the Real Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and so on. The old shield will represent what the NFL used to represent for me...the greatness of Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Reggie White and so on.

Default I'm OK with...

the new logo.

I read a comment in another forum about how the letters are actually now closer to those that are used for the conferences...and the 4 stars on each side of the football represent the 4 divisions in each conference...and the ball is angled like the one on the Lombardi Trophy.

Default OK

I could probably live with the football and the stars - but that lettering style is classic - I don't think it should change.
