some questions about bases from a new player
Hi guys, I'm new to ef and I had a few questions about bases that I was hoping I could get some opinions on.
First off, what are the best bases to buy that will run straight without any tweaking (I don't have much free time so I'm not into learning how to tweak)? I bought some proline rookies from miggle but they all seem to pull right. Do the buzzball bases or those from any other companies work better? Also, is there anyplace online to buy pre-tweaked bases? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just some basic rookie or TTC bases that run fairly straight which my friends and I can use for a game. Thanks. |

The clear and white Buzzball bases work very well, but I think those are single clip bases so you would have to have figures that have the square hole in the bottom. If you have the newer Miggle figures without the hole, try the Miggle Strong Rookie bases. They aren't really that much stronger, but the ones that I have run pretty straight and make good running back and reciever bases. And by the way, welcome to the forum!

I forgot, you might want to try the same base on different figures. I've found that sometimes a base will go right or left with a certain figure on it, but will go straight or turn the other direction with a different one on it. Also, try a quick flash. It doesn't take more than a second or two and can make a big difference in the way a base performs.

Don't Jeasymoney fool ya, he is a top tweaker himself! Just look at his avatar and check his base sale posts.
You can't go wrong with any of these guys.

"First off, what are the best bases to buy that will run straight without any tweaking" TO ME THE BEST BASE OUT THERE IS THE PROLINE ROOKIE BASES, BUT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM, RIGHT NOW SO MIGGLE IS FIXING THEM RIGHT NOW.
"Also, is there anyplace online to buy pre-tweaked bases? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just some basic rookie or TTC bases that run fairly straight which my friends and I can use for a game." THERE ARE A LOT OF VERY GOOD TWEAKERS OUT THERE BUT FOR WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR GO TO NORBERT HE IS ONE OF THE BEST OR YOU CAN TRY VINCE P. HE'S ONE OF THE BEST TOO. NORBERT # IS 313-208-9918 VINCE PEATROS # IS 562-275-1814

Kurt, welcome aboard. To me, the prolines are some of the best ones to tweak get a true base out of them. Hey shoot me a PM I think that we are in the same location maybe we can hook up.

Hi superkurt13,
Greetings to you my friend. My name is John but I am better known as Coach J. This is your first post so let me say welcome to the hobby. You have come to a good place to get your MF questions answered. In the past I got pretty good results from the Miggle Polo Green, and Orange Bases right out of the box without any tweaking. The teal bases are not bad either. However, as was mentioned earlier some bases work better with certain figures. One other thing and that is if you want to be successful then you pretty will need to have your bases tweaked. Some of the best tweakers in the hobby have been mentioned so I would definitely contact them. By the way I noticed that you are in Georgia. Are you part of the league there ? Have a good day, feel free to ask any additional questions, and again welcome to the hobby and the chatboard. John aka Coach J |
