Default Question of the Day

Coaches,
Whether your in the process of building your MF team or have built your MF team already, which position was the most difficult for you to develope on your team. For instance on my squad it was my "Swoopers" aka LB's man I went thru many a base trying to get talented Swoopers, guys who could come around the corner with some serious speed. That was the most difficult position for me to develope.

What was your most difficult position to develope as a MF Coach?

Default Versatile LB's

Specifically inside linebackers are something that I am always working with it seems. Guys that can fill against the run - but don't get so caught up in the "wash" that they cannot break out when needed to pursue the ball.

Secondly - the safeties. Guys that don't get caught overrunning the play - and have good recovery speed and take good angles of pursuit in run support or to help the DB's.

Also - tight ends can be an issue - depending on the scheme.

My placekicker. I've lost important games because of this player!

Default It would have to be...

my free safety. Getting him to be consistent in zone coverage to prevent the big play. You need a smart player back there.

Default Well,,

I have trouble finding good defensive backs, especially cornerbacks that are strong yet superfast. Placekickers would come in a close second.

You obviously need a TDK.

Default For me...

It's defensive backs. They never quite seem to work in a game as you envision them and prepare them. When game time comes, they get ignorant.

Far as kicking, I'm a kicking ninja with the TTQB!

Default My snapper on special teams, (smile)

I would have to say blitzers, I can't get any pressure on the QB's.
