Jennings figures: OSU converted to MF

OK, as much as this pains me, I had to have these figures despite being in enemy Buckeye uniforms. Got em today and used my cutting skills to get them balanced on some FF.net platforms. Figures weight 1.60-2.0g, platforms from various style figures can weigh anywhere from 0.4-0.8 grams (FF.net platforms weight 0.8g). Overall the quality was pretty good, the sleeve decals were worn and I think the players have no clearcoat over them which they will need if they are to play electric football (with all of the handling). Several of the facemasks are misaligned which I will probably have to fix knowing my fixation on the details. The figures match up well with my collection as I've always been more fond of the slightly larger figures- mostly 67 big men and FF.net and buzzball for skilled players (Buzzball Mr. Everything represents ~6'0" for my scale). All in all

Here's some other figures next tp them for your reference. There's a 67 bigman blocker, buzzball RB, WR1, and Mr. Everything, Electric Gridiron RB, and some hybrid FF.net/67 bigmen Redskin players.

There are a couple of players that are a tad bit too tall for my taste (the #13 RB and the #16 QB and #38 RB) but there not way off.

..actually I just realized that the figures I showed for scale were the tallest ones of the bunch so I don't want to misrepresent them. All the other figures were very much in the height scale between buzzball Mr. Everything and FF.net figures to 67 bigman (which I think is absolutely perfect).

Very Impressive Joe , All Except For #13 He Has No Business Being On The Same Field As Some Of The Osu Greats ,even Though He Was Destined For Stardom, He Sold It Very Cheap.

mj,can the figures numbers be changed with decals,without it looking different from the ones you decide to keep the same without changing there numbers.

Anybody tried painting these yet? Mine that I ordered are going straight into Chiefs retrofit.

yeah, i already have a couple of them on my saints squad. a couple of tips,
#1) don't dip them in brake fluid to try and strip the paint. the paint doesn't come off, but the glue dissolves, and whatever rubber these are made of doesn't easily adhere with just simple super glue.
#2) if painting with testors or any enamel, apply a primer layer first so that the paint doesn't remain tacky forever.
these figure are pretty much made out of the same material that the excalibur figures are.

These figures will be very easy to paint over since they don't have clearcoat. The numbers are pad printed on so a little white paint over the numbers follwed up by decal numbers and clearcoat and you got yourself a team from a different year. The key to turning these into miniature football teams is getting them balanced on platforms. I selected FF.net platforms because I new I would need weight low in the base to balance these figures out. After cutting the figure off the given casted football, I ran the cut section over sandpaper in order to get a nice flat (and maximized) area to glue. By filing the on sandpaper I was also able to incrementally change the angle of the cut so that when placed on a new platform the figure would stand in a balanced position. After glueing into place I followed it up by glueing a little fillet of glue around the shoe to add more strength.
