Default Oldest League ready for kickoff

The oldest active league in the country "The Charlotte Electric Football League" turns on the juice
Tuesday Sept. 9 to start their 27th. year of play.
With all but 3 of our eleven members 50 or older it amazes
people we are still playing but it doesn't amaze us, we all
have been playing since childhood and love the game.
We have 11 members and will play two 13 game seasons (Fall and Winter)
plus playoffs and a tournament. We play on 308's, Watts and Buzzball fields
in Subterranean Stadium a virtual mecca of Electric Football history and a collectors dream world. We actually have people tour the Stadium all the time.
Located in Rochester NY near the Canadian border the league has somehow
been able to keep the tradition alive.Through the years we have played over a thousand games and have had tons of laughs and excitement I wouldn't trade a second of it for all the money in the world.
So gentlemen....Let the games begin!

That's cool! I wish I had kept playing all those years. Now that I'm back into the game, I still can't find the time to play. 27 Years! That's amazing.

Default wow

That is beyond belief and is absolutely amazing! For a guy who is trying to find a way to complete a single solitaire game I started in 2005, I can't imagine your feat of 27 years and thousands of games! You are in another dimension! Congratulations and keep up the great work!

Smile Congratulations are in order!

John,

You are a class act and I wish your league all the best this season. Someday I hope I can announce that our little league in Indiana is starting our 27th season, but by that time I will be 66 years old. You have set the bar high for all leagues around the country, by standing the test of time and through your success by handing down the hobby to the next generation. It is a shame we don't live closer together. I would love to come for one night to Subterranean Stadium and take in all the action.

Good Luck, God Bless, Have fun and keep doing what you are doing!

Your buddy

Matthew Culp
