Question Why is it important for us to pass on traditions?

What can we do as the present generation of Coaches do to assure our future Coaches and jr coaches reap the benefits of what have learned from this EF culture? etc, knowledge of the game, plays, tweaking, history of origen...etc

Default My son...

is the main reason I got back into the game (mentioned this before).

We now have our owbn house league and he is joining me in the CNYEFL this year.

He is already painting and decaling with amazing skill and confidence for his age (10).

He also has been travelling to many ofmy league play dates and meeting some of the great coaches out there and some of their sons - you guys always make him feel a part of the action.

Default It's What You're Doing...........

[b][i]GREAT JOB

I HAVE SERVERAL CAMPS AND CLINICS ON (EF/MF). THAT'S ALSO ONE OF THE REASON I STARTED OUR CONNECTICUT LEAGUE BACK, IT A SPRING BOARD FOR NEW AND YOUNG COACHES. THEY GET TO LEARN AND PLAY THE GAME.
WE TEACH THEM TWEAKING, DEFENSE & OFFENSE DESIGNS, WHAT IT TOOK US YEARS TO LEARN THEY LEARN IN WEEKS AND MONTHS.

MY SON JUST SAID THE OTHER DAY WHEN HE KNOCK ME OFF IN A SCRIMMAGE , I WATCH YOUR FILM WHEN I WAS CUTTING YOUR HAIR, HE MADE A SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT ON HIS TEAM AND THAT PROVE TO BE THE DIFFER.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WITH THE KIDS

Default Pass it on

Great question!! I still look at the old tudor rule book at the old black shoe teams remembering how this game was just so much fun!!The times we had as kids playing against each other the solitare leagues going to colonial toy store to get new teams wow!!This is a great family game the father and son or daughter relationship can be so much fun!!Also the football spirt comes to life with MF or EFB what ever we call it.So many traditons can be made with this game like I still like to play a solitare game on Thanksgiving something I have done since I was a kid!!!Its a pass on game now no longer in stores on TV we have to pass it on to make sure it survives!!!That should be every EFers missiion to pass it on!!!

great question.
When we get a new coach in our league { one that might just be getting back into it } , we will actually give them good bases , and some custom figures . This is what Frank Jacobs does , he is a true asset to our league .
We will also make sure they are competitive . We try to share everything we know. There is nothing more discouraging than a new coach loosing 40- 0 every week. We want to keep the coaches coming back every week til they become part of our league . When the new coach finally understands and becomes competitive , well they are on their own !
We share everything we know with each other . I think that is key to a strong and lasting league .
