Default If You Had The Room, What Is Your Dream Field Size

coaches,

In terms of field length and field width, what is a crazy/ligitmate field size to druel over . I think weirdwolf's and ant burgess field length's are 61in long.
would it be crazy for a coach to show up with a 75in to 100in long field that is also super wide. Im talking something that can show up on a casino flloor in the middle of craps tables. That is some serious wide open football.

Is a field that big out of the question ?????

I think if I had all the room in the world, I'd still use a 620.

But ...

The draw for me would be what was around the 620. That would be a stadium, with lights, scoreboard, video display, and locker rooms for the players. I've seen this last part done for Subbuteo stadiums and it's insane. My friend here in Maryland even had a room for press conferences in his Manchester City stadium!

Around the stadium would be something similar to a model train layout - with a neighborhood including houses, businesses, roads, cars, street signs, and maybe even a railroad. Flying on the roof of the stadium would be flags of all the teams in the ECFA, Ed's College Football Association, which is the solo league I am resurrecting. There would be a broadcast booth, and fight songs of the schools would play after touchdowns - or even the USC and Florida State chants that play after first downs. People standing outside waiting to get in. People sitting in the stands. That would be my dream - and it would take a whole room!

But that's my dream.

I know there is someone on here that made a scale size board , cannot remember who it was though. Maybe Jerry Mcgee or Terry Popham ?
Anyway that would be the size I would want to have .

Default Board

You are correct, Jerry McGhee is the creator of the big board. He did an artcle in the latest issue of the tweak. He also made a big board for Wierdwolf. I've played on his boards and can tell you this....It really opens up play quite a bit , and a long touchdown run is a sight to be seen. Oh, did a mention that you have enough room on the sidelines to place about 50 figures there.....Pretty cool

Default Bigger is better

Dre' I would have to have a room that I could fit at least one 308 with stadium, lights and all the fixin's. Also enough room to have a seperate board for tweaking and a practice facility. And large screen tv to watch the NFL and/or MF action.

Like our own ManCave Stadium! At the opening day for the CNYEFL (10/25) we had our 308 set-up on one table, our 620 and two other smaller SuperBowl boards - 4 games going at once. Also had the 27" (sorry not big screen yet) going with college fb on and of course we do have the equipment managers room (workshop) adjoining that space with a tweaking/testing board, which also served as the sideboard/buffet area on that day. No RR style stadium around any of the boards - yet.

We had a blast and got in 13 games! Great guys - great day.
