Passing in the 70's

Coaches, as I have stated before, I returned to electric football earlier this year. When I was a kid in the early 70's, there were 6 or 7 of us kids in the neighborhood who played electric football. We didn't know much about football, but we knew that you had to run, and, or pass the ball in order to move down field. On occasion, only 1 or 2 of us could actually complete a pass with the ttqb. Our running backs seldom had the speed or the direction for any capable ground attack against stacked defenses. We had to improvise, so we got us some fat popsicle sticks and placed that little ball on the stick in the area of the qb's head and gave it a flick!! We got pretty good at it over time. We would put our fastest man at receiver and try and get the ball to him. Soon we got smart on defense and started stacking db's on the good men. To make this long story short, we realized that if we had no chance of getting a man open, the game of electric football was no----oo good. In many ways that is where the state of electric football is now, and especially to newbies who cannot compete because of tweaking abilities, and cover corners who hold. We as kids realized this, so we began allowing the offense to pivot our backs and receivers after the defense set up. I guess what I am trying to say is that it really doesn't matter to me what kind of passing rule is allowed, but is does matter that a receiver does have some sort of way to a least simulate a route and have a chance to get open. This will go a long way in making a defense play defense and open up this game to where there are better rushing teams in electric football. After reading you're post I know know that people like you are who my system was created for. It address all the issues that you stated.

Newbies want to play football and don't want to spend hours and hours trying to tweak bases or practice with the ttqb both of with have nothing to do witch actual football.

Some like the fact that you hold a receiver at the linen but is that football? Stacking you're players, is it football or rugby? This is the reason why the game went into the closet.

The game was simply not playable and was not user friendly, some would say ( Practice tweaking, practice ttqb passing ) but that is not the answer.
Would you rather spend you're time doing, tweaking or ttqb passing ( What can that teach you about the game of football ? ) or Would you rather spend you're time learning and understanding how a play works, the discipline of each position, what formation counters what formation, what player needs to be blocked, and who blocks who.

EF is a game designed by a metal worker who wanted to make a toy for his son, and now is built around the ttqb and base tweaking, but my system is built around actual football and is playable.

Now there are guys that LOVE playing EF and love tweaking and using the ttqb and you know what, that is good for them. But there are people like you're self who want something more from this hobby.

The MPFL is not, I repeat ( IS NOT EF/MF )!!
It is designed by a former football player, former football official, current head coach of a semi pro football team. It is built around football and is designed to be playable for every one.

Now elements from this system have been taken out of the MPFL and are now being used in other ( EF?MF leagues ) around the country.

EFGamer every thing you wrote and said I clearly understand, and many have said this when I interviewed people about this game when I was designing the MPFL. It is funny you wrote this

efgamer, don't worry about CC holding your WR at the line, it takes 5 minutes if you know the basics of tweaking, call me and I will walk you threw it, it is extremly easy, a figured a visual would help you and any others who feel as you do with the WR/CC thing,....also I was the worst passer in the country with the TTQB, now I'am one of the best, it took raiderman 5 minutes to show me the proper way to use him, to give you an idea of how easy it is,..........the guy was holding his daughter in one hand and showing me with the other.

Also with strengh building, it's know different, it takes roughly 5 minutes per base with only the basic knowledge, I get done in 2 minutes.

help in passing and tweaking.

Some of the greatest passers in the game are right in the DFW. I will put together a DVD up the road on passing. I know one way to pass and that is with the QB.

What will handicap you is if you go to a tournament and play against guys who pass. You want to be able to compete on that level because for the most part, tournaments allow passing in them.

So it is not a wasted art. Most guys that have problems with passing revert back to their childhood and it becomes pyschological. We can get you to passing in less than 5 minutes with confidence. You're not gonna hit every pass but the ones to compete, you will be hitting immediately.

Also, holes can be opened in miniature football. A lot depends on the style of play. The holes do not have to be fabricated. I know Jimbo is able to show you great holes being created with the strategy and hybrid methods and we are able to show holes open so easily deep in the heart of Texas.

So there are resources. You just keep asking and I am sure other methods will become clear.

Guys ,
Dont let efgamer fool you. He can PASS and he has a very well balanced team. He just wants to get better at his game as many of us do. He has a very competitive nature and has a open mind to all sorts of efl styles and schemes. He in my opinion just needs more actual game time and he will be fine.
