I use rookies from the 60's . I wish I could find a ttc that follows blocks as good as the 60's rookies I have.
The ttc has the ability to do everything though. Sweeps, draws etc. Last edited by jeff : 11-26-2008 at 05:51 PM. |

tailback on TTC
If you can tweak real good a ttc can be a great speed and power base for a tb

.
If you can tweak that well, you can tweak a rookie to be faster and as powerful as a TTC. In my opinion, rookies areby far faster than any TTC, but I haven't tried all of TTCs out there.

I have a great widetop base tweaked for speed. The fact that the base has a dial makes my running back very unpredictable. Is it as fast as my old R/L base...or Buzzball speed diamonds? No....but it is fast enough.....and the dial keeps defenses guessing (unless they are good at seeing which direction the dial is tweaked for.....)
The ultimate base for a tailback would be a well-tweaked ITZ dial. I have a couple that are good...but not good enough yet! |

TTC base is probably the best choice
The dial is the secret ingredient....defenses can't key on which way he'll be going from 1 play to the next. Good TTC bases on 2 backs can be very effective.
Any base would work, but I'd recommend a widetop or a tornadoalley efs base tweaked for speed. Geno has some really good ones, and I'm sure Norbert, Jim Davis, or any other great tweakers can find some somewhere. Rookie bases are nice for speed around an end, but a good defensive coach can very quickly pick up on which back runs what way, and can snuff out running plays. I have a bunch of running backs on rookies and platoon them in on plays depending on the down/distance situations. |
