Duck, Duck, Duck... Goose!!!
Make that...
Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys... Chargers! Friends of mine know that I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan. But there was NO-WAY I was getting into the middle of this Dallas Cowboy Rumblefest; between Tony ('07 TBA Cowboys head coach), D.C. ('06 and former TBA Cowboys head coach), and the World Famous D-Legend (trying to get Tony to give up the franchise so he can be the '07 TBA Cowboys head coach). Even though I have lots of Cowboy squads, I thought it best to go a different direction so I used the San Diego Chargers. We all had a blast knock'n domes Saturday evening, and I loved how D-Legend, and D.C. shared their EF experiences and knowledge with Tony. On a personal note... I had the best time hanging out with D-Legend all day Friday, and Saturday evening. He's still the same ole Darrell... just a tremendous joy to be around. Here's a picture of D-Legend (striped shirt) announcing: "I'm BAAAAAAAAACK!!! |

Nice shot. Show us more pics of the divider in action. A lot of newbies have been asking about it and there are suprisingly few photos of it.

Weirdwolf your wish has been granted...

I hope these pictures give guys a glimpse of what it's like to play the divider style of football. Rarely do our plays end up in a rugby scrum. Because if you commit too many of your defenders to a stack style defense... You will get burned. I repeat... You WILL get BURNED!!! Another thing... unless you know your opponent's tendencies extremely well (IE, you can tell when he's running); play your safeties at passing depths and mix in some cover-2 zone. Continuously cheating your safeties up to play the run will get you burned in our league. The main reason is because most of our coaches are very competent passers. They will wait until their receivers are past your safeties before turning off the board even if it puts their receivers 40+ yards down field. The flipside is... coaches will press you if they don't think you can pass all that well. The safeties will play close to help squash your running game and the short passing game, until you show that you can throw a consistant deep ball. All in all it's a fun style of play... no better or worse than any other style. Peace, Don |

Great stuff, Don. Good to see DC playing and great to see D-Legend back on the scene.

Here you go. From the Big 10 tourney, first shot is what you get. 2 guys setting up their players not knowing what fate awaits them. Second pic, here's what a player see's. He sets up his offense or defense hoping to cover anything that can be thrown at him. This helps to prevent stacking and makes the defense spread out. Last pic, once the divider is raised, this is what your defense or offense is up against.
