Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been dying to get back onto the metal gridiron for years. My wife has been encouraging me to do so but I just never made the time. I would stare longingly at the cool stuff on the Miggle website but I figured that I would never find anyone to play against.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that an entire "culture" has arisen around my favorite childhood game. I'm currently in the market for a new board. My wife and I found this little cheap one by Excalibur Electronics in Macy's this X-mas that is battery operated. Excalibur now has the NFL license.

Unfortunately, the build quality of the board isn't the best (lots of plastic) and the players look very cheap compared to Miggle/Tudor.
It's okay to play a quick "pick up" game with my nine year old but I'm going to replace it with a 620 or Superbowl board 1st chance I get.

Already have bids out on three boards on EBay. I'd really like to get a custom board built like the ones I have seen on your site. Any suggestions or tips from the "pros" on how to score a good board would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Vince, Rick, and Sean to the MFCA. We are glad to have you on board. Sean this is your first post so let me say welcome to the MFCA chatboard. As you probably know this is a great place to get your miniature football questions answered.

Glad you are going to replace your Excalibur gameboard with a 620. There are a few guys on the chatboard who make custom boards. I don't own one but have had an opportunity to play on a few of them at The Seawall Brawl and was impressed. I will send you a PM about them. I believe a coach who goes by the name Green Bay Glenn lives in the Houston area. I will try to contact Glenn and tell him about you.

Welcome to toyland and the wizard of oz all in one. This a great community as you will see. This chatboard is visited by many of it's member's 10 to 30 times a day each just to see what is going on. It is a second home for many and there extended family. welcome you will have fun.
