Default Price opinions wanted

lets have a little discussion. how much in your opinion are these teams worth

1-original bigmen-25 to 200
2-hogleg- 15 to 100
3- chicken leg- 10 to 50
4-miggle painted helmet- 5-20
5-miggle stamped helmet- 5-25
6-miggle bigmen- 10-30
7-miggle proline painted - 25-75
8-buzzball painted- 20-75
9- FFnet painted- 20-75
10 custom made/molded- 11 man painted- 35-150
11- haiti bs, 15-50
12 haiti ws, 10-40
13 haiti repro, 20-60

all these are based on 11 man teams, i realise there is a range on teams based on what team they are and rareity. what do you think? the reason i ask is i still have over 400 teams, with this economy, no one can or wants to afford buying the entire collection. im trying to figure out if its worth trying to sell teams individually to some of you guys needing particuler teams. to me, lets just say 10 bux is average, and if i have 400 teams at 10 bux, that 4K. BUT i have some gems that go for 200 bux for 22 of them, thats not quite the same as 10 bux. so i guess im trying to figure why no one jumped on my whole collection years ago when i ask 4,500 bux. 30 boards over 400 teams, several bigmen and hoglegs, customs , tons of guys and over 2ooo bases of which included brown ttc's, widetops, frosties, redpegs, RL's heck everybase ever is in collection. the reason i havnt sold them individually is cause of the time and effort and enjoyment in collecting them since the 70's. if i knew i could sell a lot of them to this group, i may consider selling individual teams. i just cant see selling 4 or 5 teams and the fact that no one wants to buy enough to make it worth my while, it would bum me out cause i would have lost some of the collection. oh well, enuff rambling, whats your opinion on prices, or even better, whats your offer. heck. i would take trades and cash, like old baseball cards, firearms, gas saving truck, older toyota preffered, motorcycle, CASH,quality camping gear,ATV whatever, think about it, just ask, cant hurt. but remember, if there isnt an interest in me being able to sell a LOT of these teams, i wont sell just one or two teams. just the boards are worth a grand, cause i have the vikes/chiefs SB, the other SB, the 655. those have sometimes gone for over 300 each on the bay. and dont worry, im not getting out of the hobby, just thinning out the collecting part.

i want to thank all of you with your pm's, i will definatly let you guys know in the near future, and in order in which i recieved request. remember, if i get enough people wanting/willing to buy, i will start dismantling my collection. i will go in to more detail on all of the custom teams and most of the tudor teams and era's. i will, as far as i can remember , list who painted which custom painted teams also. about 150 teams are aftermarket painted by several different people. here is a short list of who painted teams for me.

terry popham
raiderman
reg rutledge
chris s
chris m
Rav Al
ROO
d bates
ME
capanther
mguttman

aw shoot, there are a few more, have to read my list

i do want to ad, lots of the request have been for bases and custom teams. i need more interest in the factory teams too. dont know if i could stand selling all the cool stuff and not selling any of the tudor teams, of which to me are the history of the game. thanks again guys.

ok, i did some looking, cataloging and thinking and....

there just wasnt enough interest in it for me to break up the collection and start selling it off. maybe ebay would be better for me to try, who knows. well THANKS to everyone who emailed and pm'd me, but im gonna hold on to it unless someone wants most or all of it for a fair price.......

i really wonder what a fair price is...

oh well. CONGRATS to the city of NewOrleans and the SAINTS... heckuva run this year, they should be very proud.

I am not sure of what a fair price is, but I think if you sell the teams and boards seperately they will be easier to sell than as a whole.
I know this is not what you want to do , but it easier for 50 people to come up with $30 apiece than for 1 guy to come up with $3500.
You may even be able to make more $$ that way. I know it would be a hassle to go to the P.O. alot for shipping.
I would love to see pics of all your collection !

thanks jeff. to tell you the truth, selling them all individually would most likely make double the amount i want, thats why i thought someone would have bought the entire thing, kept what they wanted and put the rest on ebay.heck i once sold 7 teams on ebay and made 750 bux, so i know it all comes down to selling what buyers want. but it would take a long time and an awful lot of work.

im not good at putting pics online, most of the pictures ive posted were in a link my wife helped me with. and she is WAY to busy with her side business, teaching highschool and church to help me take more pictures and put them online.

dang im finding all kinds of stuff that i, as a kid, considered EF / MF football accessories. the old pop bottle caps with NFL teams on the underside, helmet buggys, minihelmets , the ones that came with the big goalpost to display them on, i eveb found a box of "sand timers", like miniature hourglass- these are approximatly 1-minute timers and are small and made of plastic. ive even found a bunch of 3 to 4 inch glossed over NFL team refrigerator magnets, they are cool. there is tons of stuff. hmmmmm, never thought i would work so hard being "out of work". oh well, off to the grind, out in the cold and wet elements for 40 feet, then into the lab out back to start sorting again. you guys stay warm and dry.

how many of you are becoming snow shoveling experts?
