Default I AGREE WITH WOLF.

COACHES,

I AGREE WITH WOLF, The good far out weigh the bad.

***IF THERE WAS A CHATBOARD FOR CONGRESS WE WOULD SEE ALL THE FIGHTING THEY HAVE ALSO.

I have never (AND IM MEMBER NUMBER 4 OR 5)seen anything in this chatboards history to make think, "Oh no, i cant be a part of this" .
If more members posted interesting topics that would generate at least 20 responses, the site would be flying high all the time. But drama brings interest. Wolf is right, the board comes alive when turmoil is going down. Why, because people are people whether it is here or in hollywood or the tabloids. TIGER WOODS, NOW EVERYONE WANT TO KNOW WHAT TIGER IS DOING. I did not care about him before his galavanting, AND EVEN CARE LESS NOW. He is the talk all over the office. Women who dont know a golf ball from a football all have something to say. Why, drama brings reponses. Thats why folks come alive here on the chatboard and elsewhere. When people see the responses to a bad post building up. They feel the entire MFCA must be like this and run for the hills.

This is like TV and radio, you have the ability to change the station. Wolf always said you dont have to read every post. You can go over to the gallery section and others if you see something you do not like. IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE ALL TOGETHER, I THINK YOU HAD 1 FOOT OUT THE DOOR WHEN YOU SIGNED UP. I agree with shabby, LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO LEAVE.
If you see a negative post, START YOUR OWN INTERESTING POST THAT IS POSITIVE.

I look on some electronic sites from time to time and see fighting on there chatboard. So from an outsiders point of view i can see where that is a turn off. NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HARDCORE GUYS. TALKING ABOUT A PERSON WHO DOES NOT KNOW ANY OF US.

I dont know what, but if the image needs to be cleaned up for public viewing, what can be done. YOUR NOT GOING TO SEE THAT MANY NEGATIVE POST HERE BUT IF ONE SHOULD ARISE. Should it be an automatic deletion without waiting. How do we recognize a negative tone to a post before it really gets going. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT CENSORSHIP !!!!! Any ideas ????

I just want guys who used to post alot to continue to do so.
Megawatz is right, this is a second home too many whether you realize it or not. I WISH YOU WOULD SIT DOWN AT THE DINNER TABLE MORE OFTEN INSTEAD OF EATING IN SOME COLD LONELY DINER ON ROUTE WHATEVER !!!

LONG LIVE THE MFCA

In my first reply, I was actually addressing the hobby in general, not really the website.

Default ????????????

I am very surprised by all of this, maybe I'm out of the loop or something but I think really good guys make up the vast majority of people on this site. I have made a bunch of new friends, learned a bag full of new stuff about the hobby and have used the trading forum to buy and sell
more than I can remember. In all of those transactions I was treated with respect and honesty was no problem.
I don't remember seeing anyone trashed or belittled
on the site and I can't imagine why anyone would do such a thing on a forum dedicated to the game and hobby
they are into.If someone has decided they want no part of this site I suggest they give it another chance and join all of us who love the game and are working to keep it alive and growing. We need to foster the next generations interest in the game....we cannot do that if we allow this site to be a place for negative activity. The people who have worked so hard to establish the forum and all the trimmings deserve our respect and help.
I urge all members to dedicate themselves to making the MFCA and the forum something to be proud of and to encourage anyone who has left to give our site another try,
Larue

Some still find the need to "make their point known" and as a result people don't want any part of this. Say what you want, call it what you want, call me brash, rude whatever but new guys will NOT come and stay when they see what they see on here. That's why they drop off.

In my case, I'll disappear for months from the EF/MF boards simply because, well, it's the off-season. Sort of hard to wrap your mind around football when it's not in that time of year, and especially since I'm presently gearing up to start the regular season of my tabletop baseball leagues in about two weeks.

Presently, insofar as the attention I do put forth toward the hobby during this period, I'm following Hoop 27's efforts to develop a subbuteo NFL miniature game and have in mind to adapt my current miniature football setup to the non-electric form. I had a lot of fun running my Playtest League experiments and gleaned quite a bit of useful data, but the noise from the buzzing board would drive my wife up the wall (she's a bit sensitive to noises such as that, like nails scraping a blackboard) and I can't do that to her for my own playtime. Electric or finger-flick, miniature football is still miniature football and it's still running your own leagues and seasons and playing the game. But I've still got my boards and have no intention of scrapping them anytime soon.

I do not want to hijack this thread, but I would like more info on the tabletop baseball you mentioned. Can you PM me or start a thread in the Non MF section?
