Tim Tebow.

I got to taling with Mozeek today about the NFL draft and the name of one Tim Tebow came up. For SEC rivalry reasons, I can not root for a Forida Gater, or a BAMA Crimsen Tide, or a Georger Bulldawg. So when the subject of Tim Tebow comes up, he not only creates a lightning rod for his talent but it is one of the perplexing topics I deal with.

Really, for me, I separate the hype from the person. I've done some work for Tim Tebow thru former Cowboy, Bill Bates, in the past. But I try not to let that distort my view.

So when Mozeek and I talked, the subject went towards Tim Tebow. I essentially handed the telephone over to Rose (my wife). Rose is pretty knowledgeable about the NFL and many of the players around the league. She had made me aware of this story on Tebow a few days ago from a Sports Illustrated article about Tebow and Urban Myer.

She relayed the story to Mozeek. I had been debating Mozeek for weeks about Tebow. Sometimes, I have to bring in the heavy hitters like Rose to get people to listen. For the first time, Mozeek seemed to hear what was coming from Arlington, Texas.

Aftwerwards, he spoke of how Rose broke it down. It's funny that he did not "listen to the words that was coming out of my mouth". But somehow, those same words rang true through Rose's mouth.

STEEL TOWN TOUGH AND REG.......AFTER SPEAKING WITH ROSE AND REALLY LISTENING TO WHAT SHE WAS SAYING.....I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT TEBOW STANDS FOR.......WITH MOST PEOPLE YOU SEPARATE WHAT THEY DO PERSONALLY WITH THEIR ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS...ROSE MADE ME REALIZE THAT THEY CANNOT BE SEPARATED BECAUSE IT ALL SAYS WHO THEY ARE AS A PERSON........
