Our league has been more of seeing my extended family { mid - ohio guys} than winning for me .
I am having way too much fun just playing our season than ever before.
With that being said , next time I play Frank , I am going to PLAY TO WIN!!!!

If I cannot have fun playing , then I will quit playing.

your post was spot on, and I agree 100%. I can't say I have lived the MF life where I took it that serious, or "win at all cost". I look at MF as an outlet to meet new friends that share a similar hobby. I have enjoyed that first and foremost. Cause there is no way I would have ever met the guys/coaches that I have met thru this hobby, alot of great guys, that have become good friends. When I see guys get really bent over a close call, or excessively mad, I think man these are just little plastic men, toys from our youth. Its a kids game, for gosh sakes. Competitive is one thing, but alienating others isn't what we signed up for when joining the hobby or the MFCA. I will continue to work to be a better coach, and hone my skills so that I at some point may pass some skills on to others to help them along. Again, everything said in this post rings true, well said by all.

I met great men in this hobby...my 1st 2 mentors are still great friends, strong, proud fathers. We have disagreed within the moment of competition...but never wavered in our friendship over a game. When the passion shifts ..my focus shifts..no fun playing...build a board, tweak a base and give it away or reachout to a coach in need....The reality is that if I eliminate the electric football....those attributes are still who I am ... This hobby is "G's" way of again offering us a venue to help cope with the stress of being human...and for some ...our lives exist beyond our sat/sunday EF clashes...I will take home stories of what happens in a game to the family...but I will never take my frustrations home and let that manifest in neg way towards my family.... what happens as a member of this hobby....balance.....knowing who I am w/o the competition it is then the game of EF takes on a sweeter, humbler persona... the Laws of MAAT.."It is good to feel great...but it is Great to make another human being feel good"
