Default A question for painters

How many teams that you paint for others do you like? Don't get me wrong I like the teams that I paint and so does the customer but I'm talking calling the person that you are painting for and saying " dude you can't have these" because the team just looks way better than you expected. There aren't many teams that I have done that with and I have never actually kept a team but I have made that call. How about you? OR is it just me?

Default I feel ya...

It happens to me all the time. Sometimes I go into a job not feeling a certain uniform, but when finished, they look nice. I have never kept a team, but have wanted to plently of times. For some reason I never have a problem giving up certain teams like PIT, PHI, etc. just cuz I don't like those franchises.

Just twice. The 100% hand painted Cards and Rams that I did for Ronnie. Wish I had kept those suckers.........

Default My first

The Eagles team I am painting right now that I posted on the board. These boys are going to be hard to give up, I have put a ton of time into them to make them look just right.

I always find alot wrong with my paint jobs. I think that is why I am always going back and tinkering with them.

Jeff I'm the same way. I am so hard on myself bout my paint jobs. Even after I have checked and checked the players and post pics I'll see something in the pic and say darn it how could I not have seen that!! But I always have a tough time letting go of a team when I paint the Cowboys.

I have an easier time letting go of certain teams also for me it is the cowboys, bungles, and browns. The team that I had the toughest time getting rid of are a set of detroit lions that I also painted for Ronnie and he is the one that got the phone call that I described.

Chris don't give up those eagles man they are smokin!

Default For me

I have done alot of teams for myself.I have done some teams for people and when don't I don't like parting with any of them but the two I really did not want to part with was Jamels Hurricanes and the most coveted was James blue jersey cowboys.

But I regret selling my Ohio State Buckeyes to Ronnie.

Chris I don't blame you on those Eagles because that is my all time fav team and wanted to be them in the Great Lakes.Start doing my research and start on them. What color did you use for the helments?

Chuck

Talking I never want to sell...

I put more into a customers team than my own because I can live with a little 'error'. I get a lazier when it's my own squad. And by the time I'm free to work on my stuff I'm too burnt to put all that into them
