Default Hhmmmmmmm!

As a 49er fan, especially the Montana/Rice years, I'm not liking these results.

Come on 49ers!

Default You should know the Shootout Style Detroitchild

Coach, there's 72 plays left to go in a Shootout Solitaire style.

It's been entertaining from the Cowboys standpoint but the Flex Defense will allow some holes to open if "The Box" can make the call on run plays opposed to the pass.

If you look closely to the plays ran, there was one by Roger Craig for 11 yards. This was on a power I formation (I think) and the LBs pinching in. The force of the center, QB, FB, and TB going straight up the middle carved up the Cowboys like Swiss cheese on that play.

Also, when the Niners go 3-4 on defense, I usually have Ronnie Lott in 2-deep zone but on one play, I decided to bring him up to support the run and "The Box" called for a pass play. I thought Eric Wright would be able to cover Golden Richards 1 on 1. Lott had vacated the area and stopped Tony D at the line coming out the backfield. Richards had slipped the coverage of Wright and then Wright was in a chase mode.

The board is running really smooth so Richards went 66 on that play. No flag and the Cowboys have looked impressive. Jerry Rice is having problems getting off the line with Benny Barnes. I think I''ve got Rice at 6.0 grams and Barnes is at 4.1 so that's frustrating. In the second quarter, hopefully things will begin to open for the Niners.

Big play as the Cowboys was going in to score when the RG (Herb Scott) was called for taunting. Ten yard loss took them out of scoring position and they missed the FG afterwards!

This is entertaining, refreshing, and therapeutic!!!

Reg
