Default Wow, 20 people on solitaire!!!!

A year ago, we could not get 3 people to look at what's going on on the solitaire category! Today, we had 20 plus people on at once! That's big! Here's why...

While I am a strong advocate of competitive play, I am more so a stronger advocate of just playing period. As we approach the colder temperatures, people tend to stay in their homes. The frequency of wanting to go out and play in league games become somewhat difficult because of leaving the home, family priorities, and a series of other things.

There's nothing like being able to fire up that old board and get your game on, even if it's just between your own two teams and you as the solitaire player.

I had a former leaguemate tried to take a shot at me yesterday about playing alone. He told me, "Reg, some of us think you play alone now because you can't win anymore". As far from the truth as there is! Actually, it's quite funny! I told him "I play alone because don't have to put up with the BS. I can do more with the game alone than I ever could with the league. And more importantly, the competition level stays the same without the troubles".

So now, the interest in solitaire is in full swing. It will be interesting to watch the growth over time of guys who are inspired to play alone. The game is definitely fun and just as exciting as playing competition to me. So let's keep each other excited about solitaire and add to the energy and hype around it.

Reg

Default Once I get...

my format down I will post a video showing how I will run the system of play.

Just showing how I will be addressing my solitaire play.

And as I work on the stadium and make additions I will post those images as well.

This is a good idea artlax. I should do the same thing with the games I'm now playing just to illustrate how it works. I can show more in a 1-minute video than I can in 1,000 words.

Reg: Don't sweat what other people think with regard to solitaire. I know for me, I'm to the point now where I'll be going through personal life changes soon, and those adjustments are going to make getting off the porch much longer. Solitaire fills the void, and allows me to express all my creativity - something you can't do in leagues (and rightfully so), because the need of the group must outweigh the need of the individual for it to work.
