After the introduction, see a few plays of a game played about 1.5 years ago for one of my customer. This game was played in Yankee Stadium. My customer wanted me to film the game in Yankee Stadium with sound effects.

The real version has more sounds, bells and whistles and this just show a few plays. The game was shot with a Handycam analog camera. At that time, I did not have access to an HD camera but the quality of the DVD is much better. When you put things on Youtube, it gets distorted if you do several things to it. I just wanted to show how I play solitaire and things I like to put into the game. For me, it is not just a game but an experience so I want to have all the elements. The officials are even out on the field. There is so much going on that you can not see in the small picture.

Nice

On miniature football videos, I like to see people playing. I think it's funny since, finally, we play barely the same. Perhaps I don't know the right names of formations, but seeing the vids, I feel less alone because we share the same passion.

Here in France, when I play a solitaire scrimmage, it's the same thing that is played in Texas, New Jersey, Baltimore or any other state/region/city in the world. It's difficult to explain it in english, but it gives me a nice feeling. Solitaire game...without being alone. Can't explain better.

It's why videos when you actually see the guys playing (hands moving figures, throwing dice, etc...) is the best, in my opinion, for solitaire demo. You feel like you're actually sharing the game moment.

This afternoon, I'll make a little tweaking session, I'll see if I can make some vids too.

Really enjoy seeing the gameplay footage. Seriously could just watch that all day. Better than the lineup of NFL games we get here this afternoon since the Main Event is tonight.

I instituted the playbook. So many of the plays where running up the gut or off tackle. Not much pitch-out type of play.

Even the solitaire game needed to be re-defined for me so I got the playbook and I've got the 100-sided dice to govern the play-calling. That makes it a little more intriguing for me because I can see what play is being run after I set the scheme for my defensive team.

Then I go with the play on the formations. It may be a toss, power sweep, 5-wide, etc.

Here are some of the plays I now run.

I was real skeptical of showing the human hands and body in this film because I was trying to give it the look of classic football 1958 style. Also, do you think I should make the film just black and white because back then, the game was in black and white. I asked my customer and am waiting on an answer. What do you think?

Concerning video, I don't know, I believe it's a matter of personal taste.

For me, miniature football is a game : Showing the game process is instructional, and also nice for the reasons I explained in my last post.

Black and white, I don't know, for the same reasons. Yes tv was black and white, but the real teams were in colors So, from the solitaire player you are, what do you want to show ? A solitaire game, or a reconstitution of a tv vintage broadcast ? It's your choice.

Mozeek, as you can see, yeah I guess I did take my toys home in a sense to play alone. After 16 years of offering toys to all the guys in the DFW and getting not much support, I figure it's best to just close up the shop of goodies and stuff myself with all the candy I want.
