Columbus , Ohio League info
Rules :
Kickoff : kicking team will kick off from their own 30 yard line. Receiving team will be able to line up at the 50. There is a 5 second kick coverage clock. The kick returner will be taken off the field, the board will then run for 5 seconds this will allow the kick team to cover the kick. If any player from the kick team reaches the end zone the kick will be downed and posession will be taken at the 20 yard line. If the kick team does not reach the end zone then the returner will be placed at the goal line, anywhere between the hashes . Both teams will be allowed to adjust any untouched player. The kick off is any touch tackle. Punt: We will be using a punt wheel for the punts. It acts like a actual punt with a 3 second clock for a attempted block, and then a hang time clock will be added . This time is taken from the punt wheel. The end players on the punt team are not allowed t obe blocked until the 3 second clock has expired. Field goal: There is a 3 second clock for field goal attempts . The offense and defense will set up, the board will be turned on, if any player from the defense hits the kicker or pushes the offense player into the kicker then the kick is blocked and the defense will take posession at the spot of the touch. Kicks will be attempted with the board off. Weight: The player must resemble a actual pose. The weight of a player and base will not exceed 3.5 . All players will be weighed before the season, there will be random weigh in during the season . If a player makes weight before the season and then the player is weighed during the season and does not make weight, the coach will forfeit all games. There will be no boiling or altering the base { adding to the base will not be allowed } , you can however take some from the base , remove prongs ,etc. Tackles: On all run plays tackles are front of base only for the first 10 yards, from corner to corner of the defensive base. On all pass plays, punts, kick offs and qb runs and passes , are any touch tackle. Pass: The qb is only allowed to drop back 15 yards max. There is no substitions allowed except for to put a stationary base on the field for a drop back qb. You cannot put a stationary qb base on the field then switch to a regular base to allow the qb to run. Passes must hit the wr on the fly, no bouncing or sliding the pass to the wr. On a completed pass behind the line of scrimmage both the offense and defense are allowed to adjust any unengaged player. If the pass is completed beyond the line of scrimmage then only the wr is allowed to be adjusted on offense, any unengaged defender is allowed to be adjusted. There is a 3 or 4 second pass clock , I will have to check to be sure. If the timer goes off before the offense stops the board the qb is sacked, no exceptions. Adjustments: The offense is allowed to motion up to 2 players or angle up to 2 players, or any combination. The defense is allowed 1 more move than the offense, but must do the same as the offense. Example, the offense angles 2 players, the defense is only allowed to angle 3 players, they are not allowed to move the players from their spot , that can only be done if the offense moves a player. Misc: We are playing from the hashes, if a player runs out of bounds then the ball is placed at the according hash. No stacking the offense or defense, players must be 5 yards behind the player directly in front of them. Defense is allowed to line up in the gaps. We will incorporate a set up clock. The first 2 weeks we will not have any penalties for not setting up in the time alloted. Starting in week 3 the offense will have 50 seconds to set up and the defense will have 10 additional seconds. If either the offense or defense is not set up in the time alloted the nthere is a 5 second delay of game penalty. If the defemse is not set up in the time allowed they will still be allowed to finishing setting up. The play will then be ran and the offense will have the option of taking the penalty or the result of the play. There is a $20 league fee per team. There is no fee for anyone traveling from out of state or town { more than 60 miles } . If there are any questions about fees please contact me. I would rather have someone play than not. The fee has to be paid before the season begins , no exceptions. I am sure I have left things out so ask any questions you might have. Last edited by jeff : 09-26-2007 at 12:00 PM. |

Hey Jeff
Do I have your league information for the MFCA Directory? Also, did you meet with Megawatts about what I called you about last week? Give me a call or shoot me a PM....

Jeff
I am off this coming Sunday,Mon,Tues, and was wondering if I could come up there one of those days for some scrimmage. I'm usually not off on Sundays, but my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm always off Mon. and Tues,. and on Friday I start at nine at night and on Sat. I start at ten at night. If need be I could come up and play by noon on one of those days and be at work later: or just play either Mon or Tues. at anytime since I'm off. Just let me know what's best for you. My men are on the way and will be here on Wed. I have a lot of practice to still do.

I forgot to add.
We will count plays. 10 plays per quarter. Running plays count for 1 play and pasing plays count for 1/2. Timeouts will give the coach a free play if they so desire , you do not have to take the free play if you do not want. The coach that calls the timeout decides if they will use the free play or not. |
