Ah, now I see
I understand and agree, you do become the QB for that brief period and need to view eligible receivers from all angles.
But they seemed to have worked it in their system, a combination of TTQB and pass placement, which I go on the record as saying I have never tried. When my 308 arrives, hopefully next week I may explore their system more. Shabby J |

Hold On
Befor this becomes a TTQB vs Pass Placement you must not focus on that but rather the type of pass a QB throw Bullet or Lead .
Not the use of a tool. No need to justify the use of one vs the other, but to understand that a QB throws two types of passes, not one.

Cool
In the culture of MPFL we understand that the QB has his vision, and at the same time the defenders have there position ie in the passing lanes.
Both are intact and are a part of the games pressure. We find that being allowed to move around the board to throw a pass hurts the defense who had good position until the user changed it. This touches on the QB not being in the right position at times to throw a pass due to the pass rush. Think of it like the game red light green light. You're players need to get it done durring the time they have, this is the playable balance. When aiming the pass with either the TTQB or Pass Placement both are done from the same position thus not giving and advantage for useing one over the other lending it's self to a balance game play. We want the focus to be on actual football data and not the use of a tool. This is how this works in the MPFL Culture. I do understand the culture of EF/MF as it it is based on stopping the board when ther user finds the right conditions to throw a pass. Then is allowed to move around the boad to gain the right angle to throw. :o

Coach/player positioning...
As a "retired" qb, I would suggest that ideal position for throwing a pass would normally be from behind the LOS...meaning the end zone which you are traveling away from.
If the board size is condusive to this, or the coach is close enough to his own endzone so that he can make the attempt without crushing the board, then I would think that would be the preferred way to do it. I think that more closely matches the reality of throwing in a real football game. So I guess I am thinking that maybe the coaches side or the end zone he is moving away from (protecting) should be valid options? Just my 2 cents... Interesting discussion.... |
