College Bowel Games
Have we gotten to the point, where if as a college, you can't qualify or get invited to a Bowl Game, you just host your own. This occurred while watching both the University of New Mexico vs. San Jose State in the New Mexico Bowl, and the University of Hawaii vs. Arizona State in the Hawaii Bowl . . . both played on the home fields of UNM and UH. This just seems pathetic to me. Pretty soon, there will be enough Bowl Games to cover every team in the NCAA. I couldn't even bring myself to watch the Rice vs. Tulsa game . . . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sad days indeed.
Anyway, Happy Holidays everybody! Take care and God Bless, Rich Parks Virginia Beach, VA PS - The title is NOT a typo |

I still say they should have the two worst and saddest teams play in a Toliet Bowl with the loser paying money rather than being payed. By the way if there was a toliet bowl it would be between Florida International (0-12) and Duke (0-12).

I don't have any problem with the number of bowl games. As long as teams are .500 or better, and can get a month of practice, a good experience for the kids that work hard all season on the field and in the classroom, and the coaches are wise enough to take that experience as a head start for next season, there's nothing wrong with it.
Hawaii has often played in its own bowl game. It's nothing new. And in terms of New Mexico, who would go watch them anywhere else? No comment there on how good they are, but they don't draw. You can put UNM in the Liberty Bowl and expect that bowl to do well.
