Default Question of the Day: What are some of your pregame rituals?

Before a miniature football game, I like to watch a movie like Remember the Titans or Rudy or even Glory. These are movies that inspire.

What are some of your pregame rituals?

Thumbs up Pre-Game Ritual

Coach first thing after the basics is get my sweat pants and a Jersey. once dressed pray for guidance a safe travel. Listen to some club music while traveling to the battle grounds . I pray before I exit my vehicle. I check the board and my 2nd string players. If they run fairly well then I check key 1st stringers. Set up O side then D side, extra bases and TTQB's in the middle. Make cuts and then I exhale. It's on from there.

*note I will speed dial Coach K-Lo or a fellow League Coach Ed or Joe to call when I need a few strategy suggestions. Usually Coach Lo for 90% of the time I will be playing one of my league mates.*

*Post Game calls the wife, Coach Lo, Coach Norbert

My only pregame ritual is a gutt full of fear and apprehension. It's very uncomfortable.

Once I make a couple of first downs I'm ok.

Default revisit the 10 plays on the chart

Thanks KC for the hit....

I usually go over running my gameplan in my head one last time as my players are warming up.

take a quick look at some timing issues for the field I am playing on and then it's game time!

Default Some Practice

Before a game I'll go through some passing pratice. I'll set the targets up and pass. Then I'll run my players Def. first then the Off. And lastly I'll practice 10 FG to see if the kicking game is there or not. The I'm off to the game.

Default Just Me!

Personally...when it comes to miniature football I take an ingame preparation approach. Normally for me its that first comment that's made by the opposing coach, hte peanut gallery or that biased referree that gets me focused and zoned-in for war!

I can never seem to prepare prior to the game. There is nothing that gets me focused for a big game before the actual event. I'm still a big kid and I approach the game that was! Its all way too much fun.
