WOW, that sure was a whooping last night. Who REALLY could have predicted a blowout like that. Even Florida fans have to admit that Florida hasn't probably played that well all year while Ohio State looked like Ohio Community College. Who was that QB last night because it couldn't be Troy Smith could it??? That conservative OSU soft zone with a 3 or 4 man pass rush in the first half was maddening to watch as a neutral observer. I think the real thing to take out of that game is that the team that is the hungriest team (who plays with a chip on their shoulder) is the most dangerous team to face. Florida played that way and I thought Boise played that way too. To me those were by far the 2 most inspired teams. Can't we get one more game, please!?!? Wouldn't FLorida and Boise St. be a fun game.

Those giving SEC extra love right now don't forget that the Big Ten's Penn State beat Tennessee and Wisconsin beat Arkansas. Auburn didn't look too special in the bowl either. The best conference this year- I would say YES, but lets not go overboard. In my humble opinion its certainly not head and shoulders above.

Default Maaaan,

Everybody wants to use the ol' layoff excuse as to why they lost the game. Florida did not play last week. They were off also, 41 days I believe. OSU was off 52 I believe which in the grand scheme of things is one week. How much of an advantage is that? None. Now I hear it was the weather. Cold weather/Big 11 teams can't win BCS games because of the warm weather climates. Ooooooohhh...ok.

2005
Fiesta Bowl OSU 34 ND 20
Orange Bowl Penn St. 26 FSU 23

'03
Fiesta Bowl OSU 35 KSU 28

'02 Fiesta OSU 31 Miami 25 - OSU National Champs

Oops!!! Did I type that or was I just thinling it?

Nobody can just suck it up and admit the better team won. Florida plays in the best conference in the nation (sorry Bigs, 10 & 12). We can never say the better team won if it goes against our predictions, or it is our favorite team. We just make excuses and reasons why WE lost not why THEY won. Let me venture this, had the score ben reversed would any of the people who blame the layoff say that was the reason or that OSU was just that much of a better team? Nobody can say the better team won. It's always I give Florida props, but..., or If...

Better team won and nobody can accept it because everybody was on the bandwagon and didn't think there was any way OSU could lose. Lee Corso (bogus laryngitis) was MIA from gameday last night. Hater.

Default Hey Chico

once again nobody would commit on if that game took place the first week in December that FLORIDA WOULD HAVE GOT BEATEN BY OHIO STATE. you give Boise st. 41 days and they could have came up with something to deal with Ohio state. thats why the bull championship **** game is crap. just come up with a playoff system and lets do it. thats why i don't watch too much college football. i like the pro's ,ONE AND DONE. btower06 STILL HATING ON THE ACC AND SEC . OVERRATED.

Default I for one won't comment on it...

Unfortunately that is not the way it worked out. I am not for all of the spectulation. I try as best as I can to bring facts to the table before I start commenting. Like the scores of those Big 11 BCS games in warm weather climates that Big 11 teams won despite of the "Big 11 weather bias."

So by that logic, you give Ohio St. 52 days they should be able to come up with something to deal with Florida. Unless, by chance, Florida is just a better team.

The SEC IS NOT THE BEST CONFERENCE! It may have the most parity but it is not the best. You can't judge a conference simply on bowl games but since that's what everyone wants to do here's a reminder. The Big ten was 2-1 against the SEC this year in bowls.

Default Hey Chico

the sec is overated as well as the b s c.LETS HAVE A PLAYOFF SYSTEM. the bsc is all about MONEY. the normal college fan would like the playoffs so you dont have one year two schools sharing and the next year ONE school luck's up and win it. also, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ,explain to me how Michigans lost to Ohio State was worst than Flordia's lost to Auburn was. so you are telling me that Auburn was a better team than Michigan right ?

Default I never said that Auburn was better than Michigan...

And I never said Michigan's loss to OSU was worse than Forida's loss to Auburn. Not that I recall. Now If I did refer me back to the part of the thread when I said it so I can make amends. In my book a loss is a loss. And as far as a playoff, I am 1000% in favor of one. I even have a plan for it if anybody would ever listen. And to be quite honest, Auburn, Michigan, Big 11, SEC, ACC have nothing to do with what happened the other night, and all of the excuses I am hearing about it.

Default As A Matter Of Fact By The Power Vested In Me By Me...

By the your logic About SEC, Big 11, Michigan, Auburn I hereby declare Boise St. National Champs. Why? it goes like this...

Boise St. beat Oregon st which beat USC which Beat Arkansas which beat Auburn Who beat Florida. So by your logic Boise St. is the best team.

BOISE STATE RULES!!!!!

I'M DONE WITH THIS TOPIC NOW THAT WE HAVE A TRUE NATIONAL CHAMPION, UNTIL SOMEONE BRINGS ME SOME NEW EVIDENCE AND NOT AN EXCUSE OF WHY OSU IS BETTER THAN FLORIDA OR WHY MICHIGAN WHO GOT SMACKED AROUND BY USC SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN TH GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE (WELL MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE THEN OSU COULD HAVE KEPT CLOSE) OR JUST YELLING OUT THE SEC IS OVERRATED.

LIKE JIM RHOME...OUT
