http://www.oldschool-football.com/PageThree.html

I just found this. Cool site with a listing of old football tabletop games including electric football.

That Sports Illustrated Paydirt was, heck, still is, a great game. If you like games of that type, there was even a guy, who up until a few years ago was making current season stat cards for this game and selling them on the Internet.

Strat-o-Matic is the number one football face to face board game of all time by far.

Great website.

Thanks for posting.

For some reason I do not enjoy Stratomatic football as much as I do their baseball.

I have played so many Strat baseball games over the years and never tire of it.

Mattell's Talking Football was a good one too.

speaking of tabletop baseball games, in my opinion, the statis-Pro baseball by the avalon hill corporation, is the ultimate game. it was enorsed by sports illiustrated in the late 70's. ive had an ongoing solitaire season since 1978. my beloved big red machine are still the champions, they teeter around .600 most of the time, fave games are against A's, astros,Redsox, dodgers, yankees.

In my opinion you can't go wrong with too many games from Avalon Hill, I will have to try that. I absolutely love their war games, they are a blast.

I have seen their baseball game, but never tried it.
