Default Hey Eric

I fully understand buddy.

P.S. I have 1 more question, when you finish boiling and you say let them sit out in the sun to dry out, well what if your in michigan like now LOL, what the heck can I do instead, should I just let them sit in room tempature for 24 hours maybe ?, I'm gonna mess around with this and see what the heck happens.

Norbert

kotixblack,

You dont know me man. The reason the ONGOING BLABING about these rules and those rules boiled or non-boiled always turns my stomach is..I live smack dab in the middle of Kansas in a town population 62. Yes 62 people. I drive 4 hours to play MF and thats a local game. When I am going somewhere to play MF I simply build a team to play by those rules. I currently play in the NHFL,MFU,TAEFL,TSO ALL taking different teams & schemes. So the CHANCE to play far outweighs the style that I play. I find it far more appalling that you would call someone you dont know a thin skinned little boy then someone who simply states that they are going to check out and take a break for a while. Reginald,Norbert & Vince all know me. You do not.

I dont care if you boil, tweak, chemically alter drive over them with a truck or soak them in Crown Royal. All I want is to weigh them and then get after it.
So just keep your personal comments to yourself.

Geno H

Default Geno/Norbert

Geno,
I just saw the post you made before the call me post. You're right...I don't know you, but I will around 7PM PST tonight (lol) I apologize (publicy) for offending you. We will talk privately, and then you will know why I was so quick to fly off the handle when you said that you were checking out. Thin skined whiners, and people with their personal agenda's who put themselves before the hobby get on my nerves. I think that is what hurts the hobby and makes it difficult to recruit.

Norbert,
Try wrapping them in a papertowel and putting them in the pocket of your pants when drying your clothes in the dryer. That should help get rid of the oil I forgot about the lack of SUN in MI this time of year.

Y'all funny!!!mbsp$
Jimbo Pryor/Murphy/Rock,
If I can make it to TX, you will face the fury of my 4.0 sucka free suckas (lol).

Norbert,
I think 40 - 60 minutes is good. Also, as time passes the base absorbs the oil and developes a rubbery type of texture.

Default Run What You Brung!

If a league allows 4.0, then in my opinion it should be 4.0 no matter how you get there, boiling, roasting, frying, adding tape, adding magnets, bubble gum, etc...

If you need to, turn some dudes in your league on to some bases that can be boiled, teach them how to boil, teach them how to tweak. Whenever I pick up a hobby I have a desire to learn it from top to bottom and achieve success through my own sweat and hard work.

I raced dirtbikes as a kid and teenager, I wanted to learn how set up my own suspension, how to build and tune my own motors, so I did, I got waxed for quite a while as I learned, but once I got my skill set, I was doing the waxing. Same in MF, when I returned I was soaking up all the knowledge I could, I still am after three years, steady building my skills. If one dude boils better then another, OK, some dudes tweak better than others too.

It seems to be availability of bases that can be boiled, not everybody has access or can pay for them Then you allow 4.0 in your league and you know who the boilers are, when you play a boiler in your league, you go head to head, if you play a non boiler, then weight up a team of tweaked but non-boiled bases and go head to head with him. This keeps it on a level playing field.

Things can always be worked out and compromises can always be found.

Just my opinion.
