2008 Yellow Base Tweaking

Here are some pics, as tonight was my first hands on time with these yellow bases. I am an amateur tweaker, but wanted to let you guys who don't tweak out there know it can be done. Man, let me tell you how sweet these things are with my 67 Miggle Big Men. First off, I have only been tweaking for three years, but I will tell you these bases are showing me some good strength and also some good speed. They seem to require very little to get them to perform.

On the TTC I am just quickly flashing the front prongs, no squeeze, as I have a tendency to over tweak and the prong will not support the figure weight, I do give a pretty good squeeze to the backs, run them over a piece of fine sand paper and let them rip. I adjust the front prongs ever so slightly if need be for direction, but these are some great running bases. Have not tried the rookie base yet. I put them in the strength pit and they are over powering my orange and polo TTCs. Although these were tweaked over a year ago and my skills have improved since then.

What are some of you guys doing to the prongs are these? The field below is a 510 I scored on Ebay. I wanted a smaller field to tweak on and this is perfect.

Isn't tweaking like golf? You can learn the basics in a day, but it takes a lifetime to master. To me this is where a lot of the fun is. Going into my hobby room, a little music, amd some tweaking, I could do this for hours at a time. I have a good supply of every base Miggle has on their site and I also have some killer vintage bases and I love to experiment and test them.

looking good. Stay tuned for the resurgence of the older hard bases that we discard at times. They will become a hot item very soon, when tweaked with a heated tool, they become soft and useable. Be aware, be very aware.....keep them...make them your lab projects, for you to bring back movement, will make improving a base that is non or semi mobile to become useful and ease in the process as your tweak skill level increases. consult the wisdom of the elders.
