Default Answers to your question

Mantaray,

I am always worried that whatever I say or how I say it will be interpreted the wrong way. That's one of the reasons I had not spoken much here lately regarding this topic. But here are some answers to some of your questions.

WHERE EXACTLY ARE THESE GAMES TAKING PLACE.?
There are two places that games will be held.
1. The home of Reginald Rutledge
2. Hobby Town USA

ARE THEY BEING HELD AT A SPECIFIC HOTEL ?
1. If you want to play your game in your room, that's fine but that requires taking officials from the designated sites.

wHAT'S ON THE MENU (EATS) FOR THE EVENT? "IS EVERYONE BRINGING SOMETHING" OR IS FOOD GOING TO BE ORDERED ?
1. We will probably have a cookout on Saturday. Joel Pritchard has offered his services to cook. We will just have to make sure he has what he needs.

2. Sunday, I think I can get my wife to rustle up some type of Super Bowl luncheon grub. That should not be a problem.

WHAT DOE'S THE OUT OF STATE COACHE'S TRANSPORTATION LOOK LIKE ?
1. I know Kevin Boddie will have a car. I think Corey and Jerry will have a car. I think Michigan Joe is coming and will have a car. I don't think Jay Boy and Antonio has transportation yet. History tells me LeRon will not have transportation. Rowan will be bringing 3 people from San Antonio. There will be a group coming from Louisiana so I think they will have transportation as well.

DID YOU GUY'S BOOK YOUR ROOM FOR THE SEAWALL BRAWL ?
1. No, I have not. I can only speak for myself Andre. I really am not certain at this time that I will be doing much MF gathering. I know I promised Mozeek that I would come to the BAM Championship. Other than that, I have no plans at the moment.

MY QUESTION IS, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE COLLEGE BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP TALK'S THAT IS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN IN THE FALL ? I ASKED 4 TIMES AND NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. IF YOU GUY'S REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO IT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN DROP THE ENTIRE IDEA !

1. Andre, that's something Jimbo and I had discussed. We had agreed on a date but it's looking more like things will be changing drastically (for the better) for me. The date that we had discussed seems more and more unlikely at this time. We both agreed it would be a great thing to have. However, we had reached an accord to have it where there are two types of rules, the Shootout Rules and Jim's Hybrid Rules. People would have had the option to play under either style they wanted to. If you wanted to register for the Shootout rule set, you could do so or if you wanted to try your hand under the hybrid, that was your choice.

But since things are fluidly moving for me, I did not want to make that type of commitment at this point. I have been slammed too many times by just a word or statement that I make. So it may be best to discuss this in person with you. If you feel this is something you would like to host with Jimbo, I see no problem in that.

In the past, one of the main reasons we have had the Shootout on Labor Day Weekend is because that is the best time to get the media out. I have no problem if not many people come to Texas for the Shootout. I know you said it would be suicide if I had it on that weekend. For so many years, so many people have said they would come, sometimes asking me to change the date. Then even after the date has been changed, they still don't come. So it may be suicide but strategically, for the DFW League, that's a pretty good date. However, if we get someone else to come in and run it on Columbus Day, I would be more than welcomed.

Again, this is a sensitive issue for me and I would rather discuss this type of thing offline. Just give me a call (817) 654-4146.

Reg

Default We will be prepared

Joel,

We will be prepared for you. I'll probably go out and buy a grille. It should be about 70/75 degrees outside on Super Bowl weekend so we will just tailgate in the backyard and make a party out of it.
