Default Rule Question

So I was in the middle of one of my solitare games the other day, and I came across a play that was a tough call. Eddie George took the ball to the goal line but was tackled by Shawn Merriman. Now in the picture George's base is across the goal line, but the ball is behind goal line. What should be the call on this one? (For the record I gave George the TD.)

i'd say touchdown for the simple fact that not every player who has the ball actually carries one. Its tough to not give him the td, when another player who doesn't have a ball on him would get it.

TD. If you use the front of the base to mark forward progress then it is a TD.
On a side note, He is a Buckeye so the score counts !

You should know by now that the Titans are always 1 yard short of a TD, just like SB34!

Default It's Your League, But...

In our league and in the days of customization, IF our players have a ball in their hand, then we go by the ball. So, just like in real life...TITANS come up short 1 yard. Hopefully that wasn't the last play of the game.

Default Question back to you

Threw the game, how have you been marking where the ball carier is down at? I am sure you had the ball in their hands most of the time. If you been marking it by the front of his base, then it is a TD. If you been looking where the ball is on EVERY play, then it is not a TD.

I pick a TD. Because I feel you where using the front of the base in the game, untill this play.

I have been playing front of base rules, but this has been the first time in 2 years that it has been a situation of points or not. I just wanted to get some input on what other leagues are using, and decide what to do for next years season.

Technically speaking I agree with you Anthony, however, I believe that most of MF is played using FOB progress. I still say no TD!!!!!
