One play that I'll never forget, Colts linebacker came through on a blitz and lunged at Roman Gabriel. Hit him square in the chest. Looked like he hit a tree trunk and slid straight down to the ground. Roman just stood there and completed the pass. Must have been 40 years ago, but the image still remains. Gabriel and Kapp, two guys who were bigger than most of the defensive players they faced, and both the epitome of toughness.

Default Joe Kapp...

Joe Kapp,without a doubt.
I,like RavennaAl,remember ( to a degree) a game
between the Vikings and either the Colts or Browns.
Joe Kapp took the snap, nobody open,so the BIG Indian
decides to run, which he did often.Well a defensive lineman
or linebacker from either the Colts or Browns comes at
Kapp straight-on....... BAM.I mean BAM !!!!!
They collided hard. Both go down.OUCH ! This doesn't look good
for ole' Joe.
Well, well, well, don't you know, ole' Joe Kapp jumps right up like
nothing happened. This defensive guy has to be carried off the field
a couple of minutes later.Don't think he ever came back in that
game.Joe Kapp was one tuff-hombre.

Default Kudos to Phillip Rivers

I don't particularly care for the guy, but I think we would have to recognize Phillip Rivers for playing in the AFL championship game against New England with a torn ACL.
