Default Hey Norb...

He means that we have play clocks like the NFL. Immediately after the play is over you have to hustle back to the huddle and call another play because you only have 35 seconds from the time the play ends until you must be lined up and ready to go again for the next play. Very fast paced! Also on passing plays, there is a 20 second pass clock once the set is turned off. So its good practice to train yourself on field scanning. I've learned to use my peripheral vision a lot since I've joined the league. I never knew field scanning was going to be a trait that I would need to develop to be successful at electric football. Lol

Default Hey Mike

So theres a complete set-up clock of 35 seconds, ........get your guys, set- up your play and call set within 35 seconds, also, on pass plays I have 20 seconds to get the pass off.

P.S. When calling a pass play, how long do I have to let the board run before a receiver gets open ?

Norbert

Default Norb...

That's it 35 seconds is all you have. On pass plays you can let the board run as long as you like. However with the strategy employed by the DFW guys there is going to be pressure coming from somewhere that will force you to shut it off. WE don't create fabricated pressure in the DFWEFL. The only thing that forces you to shut the set off is either you spot a receiver open or the pressure of the defense gets to you.

Ask me anything Norb. I'm here to help you Pal. We can speak this weekend if you want! Go over the rules in more detail and any of you new comers can contact me also and I'll be more than willing to help you with this. My pops "Reg" has been doing so much recruiting you guys I need to step up a bit more and help you guys get acclimated to our league. If any of you new comers want a rule book PM me your address and I'll get you one sent out ASAP. However, you pay for shipping. It's about $3.00. Its a 99 page rule book but I'll be more than happy to get this out to you guys.

Please only league members PM me. If you have not committed to the DFWEFL I'm going to ask that you speak to Reg Rutledge or Barry Stephenson about acquiring a rule book.

This is gonna be some fun man, I want that rule book, I can paypal you right now if you send me your paypal email threw a PM.

P.S. Here in the GLEFL, we allow the offense 5 seconds to get a receiver open, by not putting a time limit, I know pressure is gonna be coming from everywhere (smile).

Norbie One Kenobi is too old to play at that speed. The DFW is gonna require an ambulance outside every time Norbert is in a game. Somebody invest in one of those heart shocker machines.
