Back in the saddle: "Its what we do"
First off let me try to express in words what you ALL mean to me. I have been overwhelmed with the support from my MF family. Thank you all!
Monday we laid my dad to rest. During the services my cousin Jim 46 just 2 years younger than myself, told a very fitting story of a time when we were young. We have always had horses since I can remember. One day while riding Dad, Jimmy and myself for some unknown reason my horse went left and I went to the right and piled up on the ground. I was crying for obvious reasons (pride) and Jimmy being sure I was dead was crying also. My dad asked "Geno are you injured?" I stated "no" then get back in the saddle and ride. Jimmy evidently looked at my dad in such a manner that it prompted Dad to state "It's what we do". around 3 years ago Jimmy lost his dad. After church one Sunday just Jimmy and my Dad present, Dad asked Jimmy how he was doing. Jimmy stated he didnt know if he could go on. Jimmy said to that dad simply stated "Jimmy, you have to get back in the saddle" "its what we do". Jimmy said that those words made him realize that is exactly what he needed to do. So, I'm back in the saddle "its what we do". Geno H P.S. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this MF family. |

Hi Geno,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To begin with I will continue to keep both you and your family in my prayers. I noticed your words in P.S. part of your post. Geno I am glad that someone like you is a PART OF THE MF FAMILY. Not only that but I wish there were more like you because of your positive attitude and the contributions that you make to the hobby. I think you lost your mom a few years ago a couple days before Christmas and now your dad. I am glad you are back in the saddle but as I said earlier I will keep you in my prayers because I know it is not an easy time for you. Stay strong my friend and I am glad that God has blessed the MF community with someone like yourself. Yours In Christ, John aka Coach J |
