other vendor's figures
andre kc, I know I am new to this msg board but I can tell you I have been playing this game for a long time and it is possible but it takes alot of steps to get them to where the need to be. With FF. you shorten the steps and the dvd that you can get from his website will give you the basis on how to from that you will be able to customize your own poses copy some of the ones that he has created. I am in the process of building my team for the DFW league as we speak and the changes you can make to a figure to get them to do certain things is unbeliveable. I am not one who makes decisions without trying it for myself. But I have a question why is the weight limit at 3.3 or 3.4 grams? why not 4.0 what will it hurt? Really this is just a question that I personally have and would like some feedback on

The 3.2, 3.3, etc
Coach,
There was never any type of weight standard established before the late-Dirk Thomas and I had our conversation about creating a system for the Texas Shootout back in 1995. After that, leagues and tournaments adopted 3.2 as a standard that many had no history of its relevance. Some leagues would go up an increment just to allow certain figures into their leagues and tournaments but some people got mad because my players were heavier and were not at Tudor and Miggle weight. I never asked any league to use my products, not even my own. But some coaches in the DFW wanted it. That was when the fight for all-inclusive came about. Some of my original customers wanted in their league such as Jim Davis and Vance Warren because they felt the figures should be allowed. Those leagues were totally against my figures as well. However, as we began to become more progressive here in the DFW, it did not make any sense that being the founder of this league, I could not play with the products that I had invested in. I would have started me another league and probably had guys like yourself join. But my observations have been that the league has not lost a step at 4.0 as opposed to 3.2 , 3.3, or 3.4 grams. It's still football. Reg |

Reg, how do they match up
Reggie, i am an old school coach, and use mostly 67 big men and some miggle pro-line players. How do they match up physically with your FF players. Is it a total mismatch, or can the bigmen hold their own?

Great Coaches Have that Ability...
to use any figures and make them outstanding.
In the DFW, we have 4 Hall of Fame coaches. Two use exclusively FF.COM figures and 1 use Tudor/Miggle and 1 use Tudor and BB figures. Of those coaches, 8 championships have come exclusively of FF.COM figures and 4 have come of Tudor, Miggle, and BB. It must be noted that 8 of the last 9 title holders have been FF.COM exclusive teams. The last 4 participants of the DFW Championship had all exclusive FF.COM but last year's Texas Shootout participants had Tudor teams. I think if you use Buzzball, Miggle, or Tudor, that is great! A lot of it comes down to coaching. These companies have invested their time and money into bringing you a quality product that performs and they do. I have been beaten in the past by teams that have all of these products. So I can not say what we do is more dominate than anyone else. I think, you as a consumer, should always go with what you think will help you win and what you feel most comfortable with. I think the 67 Big Men are great traditional players. They have been a force in this league and will continue to because some coaches are most comfortable with them. But like with any figure, when you know the players inside - out, you can get the maximum out of that athlete. I think anyone who owns a company should intimately know everything there is to know about your product. I think you should know if your player has a heartbeat or not. I have seen guys in other leagues use our figures not knowing exactly how to use them. Because I scout other teams, such as teams that have 67 Big Men, I know their weaknesses and strengths and when playing in the capacity of an MF coach, I am pretty successful. But you have to take into consideration, I know the rules probably better than anything else. But yes, the 67 Big Men as well as all manufacturer's products are highly competitive with what we do. I got ousted by a guy who had the Packers this season. So continue to do what you do and support who you support in your MF experience. Pictures Are Worth 10, 000 Words!!!!!!
IMHO, RR, I really think people wanna SEE what these teams look like! They wanna SEE action shots of every team out there so they can compare the W/L Record of each team and compare that to the figures and bases each is on. Same layout as Coach Joe Greco's JETS, but since they have no Record, people won't believe how effective they are or will be.
We can explain it until we're blue in the face what each and every position IS SUPPOSED to be able to do - just like in real life - but SEEING IS BELIEVING!!! |

The only way to see or believe is to...
play in that style in a league that does not allow for crutches of any kind.
I feel this is what goes on in the DFW as everyone has the ability to play with whatever team he wants to play with. Jim, that's kinda like your lack of belief in my ability to sing. Man, if I took a penny for everyone who laughed at me over the years thinking "Aw, this brother stutter. He can't even talk so how in the hell you think he's gonna be able to sound like a songbird?" Then when they saw me on stage performing live or even at an EFL Super Bowl singing the national anthem, they were dumbfounded only to say "Sorry I ever doubted you Reg". I get that a lot. So even if I show you what happens even in video, it still will not be enough because you will probably say "Yeah, that's all well and dandy but that did not happen against me". That's a common theme! It even happens when I tell people of the type of hype that goes on here. Some think that just because they play under the rules of the Shootout, it will happen in their league. When you tell them of the characters and hype and excitement that goes on here, they think that does not happen in the game. When they come here and experience it and continue to make the trek back to the league every year, they know that I was not lying. I think when you say what you said, it paints me as a liar of what I am talking about. I am only trying to give Biglock information about what I know. What I know is FF.COM figures, the science behind it, and my track record in league play against others have proven I know something about what makes my players work. That's why we allow all other figures. So if they win against our coach, you have the proven track record to say FF.COM players were beaten by another team. That's gonna happen but I know as the owner of the company, I would like to be calling the signals against the opposition. I would not have a problem if that opposition did not use my products. As a matter of fact, I would probably be overjoyed. So even when I show Lock this video of player's movement, it may be a waste of time. I have my skeptics and I have the one's who are indifferent. That's why I prefer to show videos on FF.COM. After I finish doing this for Lock, I will try to hold myself to showing teaching things about my figures on FF.COM. Reg |

Whoa!
My intention was not to call you a liar. NEVER THAT! My BEARS are all ff.coms and dominated all the Fab5 and BB teams! I AM ALREADY A BELIEVER. What I suggested was NOT FOR MY BENEFIT, but for those that have a box full of ff.com figures and don't have a clue where to put them. All I was suggesting was for you to post pictures - here or on ff.com - pictures of Mike's BENGALS (The DFW Champ) and maybe someone that didn't do that well. That way people could decide who, what, where, when and why. That's all. The ONLY time I would ever attack you would be on the gridiron!!!
As far as blowing holes open, it looks good 5 on 4 and 5 on 3. But, everyone must remember, for every "Holy Moses!" there's a "Hit Stick!" waiting to fill that hole!!! I love it when those beefy DL get those flabby OL outta my LBs' way!!! Tell your backup to keep his helmet ready!!! Or get some boo-boo paper for your starter!!!
