Just ordered mine, thank you very much!

For those who have never seen a production from the LAEFL, do yourself a favor and reach into the wallet, it will be money well spent.

These cats put it down and you will see West Coast MF at it's finest, I guarantee. I have the Show DVD from a few years ago and I watch it regularly still.

Good stuff !

Done bought mine. Plus it has tons of extras. I'm going to use it as a sales tool to show the guys at Dick's Sporting Goods and the Sports Authority as we go for some sponsorship.

Default smmmoooookin'!!!!

Jeff, I got my copy yesterday...SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! We in the LAEFL are blessed to have you as a part of our MF family!

Coaches this is the ultimate promotional, marketing, recruiting tool...and it is also entertaining! In addition to highlights of The Show VIII playoffs and championship, Jeff has included promotional videos (including a couple of completely new ones) as well as footage from the KTLA morning show and the Nissan commercial/mini documentary.

Jeff, the promo videos are so nice and flow so well they look like you did a storyboard first. Did you? I had to ask because the timing is just perfect!

Shabby J, Wierdwolf...you will not be disappointed!

Thanks Dave. I really don't storyboard the music videos, in the traditional sense of storyboarding. Shoot, you got me started, so I'll describe how it goes from the start. For me, it always starts with the song. I'm listening to some piece of music, and I suddenly realize it'll work for a video. Then I start gathering the clips -- for "Next to You", I decided I wanted to use all the old footage I've take of the LAEFL over the years. That's about 10-15 hours of raw footage. Some of this wasn't usable (tapes were too old I guess). Anyway I just start grabbing clips that look good. I end up with a bunch of clips, more than I need. Generally I like the clip length to match the beat of the song, so I chop the clips into the appropriate length. I don't really storyboard, but I do think about what the music is doing at that point, and try to find action that matches it. I also think about clips that having something in common, and sometimes group those together (when I'm grabbing the clips, sometimes I'll notice some "themes" and organize them that way). As chunks of the video come together, I'll watch them and make adjustments if it doesn't flow right.

It takes time, but it is a labor of love. It's a blast when it all comes together.

Default Dvd Is Outstanding

The new LAEFL DVD is outstanding.
Jeff, you have outdone yourself once again.
This really documents the history of the LAEFL as well as the progression of EF/MF. This is definitely something that can help in promoting the hobby and could possibly be a step in the right direction of having or getting something in the can as AAron Johnson, Mike Robertson & David Campbell have mentioned in regards to shopping something around for a possible EF/MF television program.

Jeff,

Thanks for sharing how you work your magic. I really like how the mood and flow of the clips change to fit the music. You have a great feel and when it comes to stuff like this its always a "feel" thing.

Keep up the good work!

Default Love the teasers!!!

I'll be getting mine soon. Being an editor i can appreciate what you have done.
I'm hoping to get some footage up soon from my past college tournaments and some current footage of the Ohio league.
I wish i had a mac and final cut...then i would really be going crazy with it. I'll settle for my sony vegas right now.
Yes I know for a fact the LAEFL dvd will be a great selling point.
