We have only used Windex/Glass Cleaner..

Seems to me that Pledge, or similar products.. would leave a residue..

I thought about using a light coat of Pledge on my 308,
to see if there are any noticeable changes.

I'll post again when that happens.

Default not that.......

not that my opinion matters to anyone but..... i have found that on a vinyl field cover (ie.. field of dreams or avantage fields ) that pledge works the best to clean it and does not hurt the surface. windex is best used on a metal field like a 620 or watts fields as pledge on a metal field does seem to get verry slippery. bases can be tweeked to run on either surface boiled or not, but pledge on metal makes a slippery surface for every type of base so i dont recomend doing it. just my useless opinion....

marty... i do have both regular tweeked, and boiled bases ... and thats what i am telling you... on a vinyl cover pledge, and a metal field windex.... if YOU have tweeked YOUR bases the right way they should run the same on BOTH fields.... i never have a problem with any bases on any field unless someone "POLISHED" thier metal field with pledge.... but even then you CAN get them to run... you just have to know how.

well you got me stumped then because the same person who based up the majority of the laefl,s teams taught me how to tweek bases and i dont have the problem that your refering to. i own 3 fields... a standard metal 620 with no cover... a field of dreams vinyl cover that i pledge to clean, and a watts board hand painted metal field that i use windex on to clean and on ALL my boards my players perform just about the same, certain bases do prefer one field over the other but as a whole group the difference is minimal.
so if your teams are getting performance anxiety on certain field covers i would suspect the base tweek and not the field itself unless he field is turned down to low to run.

Default neither

all you need is a swiffer towel. keep your field covered and dust it off at game time.
