Default seems kinda odd......

"But Between Me , Vince And Norbert Everyone Else Is 2nd Best To Me"

if this be the case then why did you send bases to vince to do for you??? if your that --- - good you should not need his help, fact of the matter is the bases youe sent here were a joke.... got pushed off the board with little effort. so please...check the ego at the door. i dont care what ya won or who you beat... when ya go to some one else and then claim you cant be beat its just smoke and mirrors..

Holy mother church!

There's the spirited banter I love so much and see so little of.

Default Let's Not Do This Guys

RJ, Rick, Vince and Jimmy: We all need to file the BS in the circular file and just be friendly and civil toward each other. I am friends with ALL ya'll, so let's not clutter this board up again with drama. There's only ONE way to see who's got the right stuff - PLAY BALL!!! Don and I have tried to get the BEST OF THE BEST together in one room for 3 years now. We actually nicknamed this year's SWB "The Legends Ball" hoping that RJ and Vince would show their stuff. I completely understand when life throws us curve balls and circumstances beyond our control send us in different directions, but we still should respect each other. At least in this PUBLIC forum. What we do behind closed doors and over the phone and in Private Messages is another thing. But when I see 4 of MY friends getting ready to go at it, I gotta do what I can do to diffuse the sitchiation!!!
  • What Vince has done is FACT: Stats and scores have been documented. Despite ALL of the razzing I've given him, he's still one of the best out there. I do respect that and everybody else has to too. But, Al Davis can't play ALL of his games in Oakland! He's gotta "Show Us The Money!!!" One day soon I hope.
  • BOTH RJ and Jimmy have gone undefeated in their respective leagues: RJ is a 2X LAEFL Champ; Jimmy is a perrenial Playoff Coach in the GLEFL and 1X Champ in Akron.
  • Jimmy has led the GLEFL in Rushing 7 years straight. I've got something to say about Year 8 tho!

Rick: Keep the rose-colored sunglasses on and don't get caught in the middle of these tiffs. I learned the hard way! RJ and Vince have history that I don't even want to know about. They gotta settle it on the board. I got my popcorn ready when that game happens.

Now, everybody apologize to everybody and drop it. Please. Peace.

Default Rj I....

Beat Reggie The Two Times I Played Him, He Did Just Win The Championship Game In Texas Where You Play. Or Is This Trophy I'm Looking At In My Garage An Illusion. I Beat Him Twice In The Dule Of The Desert Out In Vegas. Now What Were You Saying And By The Way In That Tournament You Could Not Stop The Receivers From Running Down Field, You Had To Run Beside Them. No Rugby Son. Check Your Facts Before You Post Non-sense.

Finally To All, Jim Davis, Norbert And I Are The Best Tweakers In The Land, No Question, If Jim Davis Could Pass He Would Kill Everyone.

Default My 2 cents...

The great thing about electric football these days is that the great tweakers are sharing their knowledge and what they have learned about tweaking with the entire electric football community.

I spoke to Jim Davis on the phone and he told me that the stuff he tweaks for others is just as strong as the stuff that he has on his teams. What's great about this is that he is sacrificing bullying his opponents for the welfare of the game.

With this being said Vince, Jim is a great tweaker. Arguably the best in all the land. However, because he is willing to share what he has learned with the masses when he play he still has to coach in order to win! I'm sure he wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm one to admit that I can't tweak bases but I can put together a championship team using what my hard earned money has purchased and out coach the best of them. The unique thing about this game is that it does have a strategic side to it that must be explored if all things are equal.

I remember growing up playing a game on Nintendo call "Double Dribble". I had discovered a secret that allowed me to shoot 3 pointers from almost anywhere on the court. I dominated my family members and friends. It took very little coaching and strategy to win. However, once I showed a few people how the trick worked, I was no longer the dominant force I once was. I had to now out coach them to victory. This taught me a valuable lesson. You're only as good as the people around you. I was not as good as I thought I was when I had the secret but I got better when everone else around me got better because I had to now play smarter and be more creative. Sharing creates parity and competition. Maybe some of us need the help of others to develop the talents on our teams as do coaches of the NBA, NFL, & MLB need the help of strength trainers and assistants to develop their players. However, once those players are developed the coach is the one who impliments the game plan, strategies, and ploys to utilize that talent in a way that helps his team win. So just because you tweak bases for someone or someone needs your help tweaking bases doesn't make you the better coach, it does however make you an excellent trainer.

R.J. may lose to you Vince. Reg may have also lost to you. Heck I've lost on several occasions but the greats are the ones that fall and are able to rise again.

You tweakers are great! We love you and thank you for your shared knowledge in the hobby. Without your help all the trophies would probably be in Norbs & Jim's house. Lol

So lets stop the arguing and line'em up!

Default If I am not mistaken

When Vince and I played, we played under a ruleset that I had ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF.

I think I remember when Vince and I played, I would check his receivers to a point that they were headed straiight out of bounds. Then, thinking that they were basically out of the play, there was no need to worry about those guys. Vince would still throw to them to my surprise only to angle and turn them up. Not use to helping receivers run home, it was not something I had much interest in.

I remember in the Championship game that Vince and I had, I was headed in on a score to tie the ball game up. I threw a pass. If I recall, Chet was refereeing and he was standing way back from the play. We tell coaches get right up on the play to see the ball. It may have been Vince's cousin (I forget). I thought I hit the pass. A simple pass I hit very often. But the ref called incomplete. I think the score was 14-7. To me, that never told me anything.

I would love to play Vince again when I head out to the LA thing. It's been long over due. Now he knows the rules and I do too. And we don't help our players "head home". Vince is a great coach but I would love the opportunity to play my friend on the even playing field of the Shootout ruleset.

I tell you right off. I stink at every other ruleset it is. I have no interest in playing any other style of play. VP loves the Shootout ruleset so this would be great for him and myself to do battle for 4 quarters. I know I will not be able to keep up with him because he is so much better than me. But I would like to see if I can even score on the great one!
