but i am surprised no one mentioned the deservedly mentionable crew of the BROWNS 80's - Chip Banks, Tom Cousineu, Mike Johnson, Clay Mathews.

Dallas 90's - Ken Norton, Robert Jones, Darrin Smith. not the best, but wont find a faster group with impact like these guys. ask carwell gardner about Norton Jr.

If DD Lewis coulda wrapped up Joe Montana before that darn catch, perhaps we could atleast mention that group of backers. but shouldawouldacoulda dont make it.

While the popular vote would be the Steelers 70's AND THE Bears mid 80's I would have to agree with the network with the saints. Can anyone name anybody else on those saints defenses. They were the ones athey kept that defense together. The steelers were known as a complete unit (steel curtain) and chicago had a great defensive line too with Dent, McMicheals, and the Frig. I played middle linebacker through high school, college, and nine years of semi-pro. I love this topic.
