Anyone have good advice on how to take out dents on old boards?

nice blog..... dents are hard but a rubber hammer from the underside of the field could work....

U Will Need A Solid Block Of Metel,& A Hammer + A Towel To Cover The Dented Area Of The Playing Surface,Hold The Metal To The Dented Area Of The Playing Field & Tap Lightly From The Bottom Of The Board With The Hammer,Only Tap The Area That The Metal Is Pressed Up Against & Make Surs To Keep The Towel Between The Board & Metal Block So It Will No Harm The Playing Surface.

I have a better way. Get a 'C' clamp and 2 pieces of wood, the thinner the better. Place a piece of wood on either side of the board centered at the dent. Tighten up the clamp. Easy as that. Because the wood is soft, it won't dent or scratch the board. However, again, because it's soft. It may or may not get the dent completely out, but it will get it to the point that it won't affect anything. Try it first since there is no risk, then try one of the other suggestions if not pleased with results.

If you have the money, buy a magnetic field cover. This will cover the dents, as long as the dents are not to big.
