Default my start

i take you back, to last thanksgiving. i was looking into buying madden 08. i was on youtube, and searched, madden football. after going through a few videos, i find this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijCNk...eature=related

this is the video that got me into electric football. i got right up after watching it, and asked my mom for an electric football game for christmas. she was born in the 60's, so she knew what i was talking about. she said, "why", and i showed her the video. she still didnt get it, but she loves me and bought me this game. i played it, and was beginning to get frustrated. i realized now why my mom asked "why". then i found this site. and i learned how to tweak (but am still working on it) and i learned rules and all sorts of stuff.

but when football ended, this game was put aside for a long time, and only now do i realize what kind of mistake i made. i am now trying to get into this hobby in a big way, you know, customizing, painting teams, being a tweaker. and i want to be in a league. and i have to thank you, MFCA, for keeping a kid interested in this game. and i shutter to think when all the kids from THAT time perish, and we have the kids of THIS time. will it still be popular, not as much, that is obvious, but i hope that more kids like the ones on here can find this game, and be social with it, and see that its better than any madden game out there.

That my friend, just happens to be the greatest video footage of all time in this hobby. That still gets me pumped when I watch it. You should go to the LAEFL site and order the latest DVD, it is worth every bit of the $10.00 you will pay, trust me.

In that Nissan commercial, they capture, the love of the game, the fun, the fellowship, the passion, the ups, the downs, the emotions this games stirs up in all of us.

There are some great coaches in that group and I want you to know and believe MF exists and is alive and well West of Texas.

Are you over 18? Young coaches today did not have the pleasure of lusting after this game when they were kids and saw it at Toys R Us or Sears or in the catalogs at Holiday time.

I think back when I was growing up in Detroit, just about every kid I hung out with had this game and we played it all the time. It was the equivalent of what Madden is to kids today.

Learn it, love it and pass it on to someone else so that they can do the same.

Default Without a doubt, that is the best video in MF

I remembered when they first did it. After I saw it, I called Mike Turner to ask for his autograph.

Those guys did a great job on that commercial.

I'm glad you found that video durham. It's easy to fall in love with EF/MF/BB

That's an awesome story. I think the videos by Beetle8 on YouTube were what got me interested in the game a couple years ago. Those videos were very funny with him and his kids playing.

I think my favorite moment for me was when I showed my older brothers(who had an electric football set in the 80s) how much has changed and it's more realistic now. They seem very impressed and they have gotten their kids interested.
