Default IT'S FINALLY OVER. Favre traded to the New York Jets.

The 2 month saga has apparently come to an end. What's everyone's thoughts?

Didn't figure anything but an AFC trade. There was also talk of Baltimore, but to my knowledge that was pure rumor, as in I didn't hear ESPN throw it around.

PLUS...

I have Laverneus Coles on my fantasy team, and recently dropped Joey Galloway

Default It's exactly....

what he deserves--to get traded to one of the 3 worst franchises in the NFL, historically. This whole thing was a farce and a joke. You don't mess with someone's livelihood, or their paycheck, unless you have direct control over their employment, ie., they work for YOU.

This jackass had 5 or 6 QB's wondering if they would have a job the next day--this guy is a bum, and has 0 class.

Default It's not over

by a long shot.

If Rodgers stumbles - the Packer management will look stupid.

All Rodgers has have a bad game and many of the fans will be screaming for Favre.

As others have said - how have things gone in Denver in Miami since their legends left?

I respect your opinion, but Brett has nothing to do with those 5 or 6 QBs...

It is the OWNERSHIP of those teams that holds the fate of those QBS.

All Brett did was say he wanted to play football and he wanted to be, or have the chance to be, the starter.

While I think he has acted a bit "like a kid" when it comes to his handling of the "I'm retired...no wait, I am not retired" situation, I am not all that surprised by it because in a lot of ways that's the same way he plays the game...like a kid.

I guess you have to take the good with the bad when it comes to the players, and I would rather see him play than not.

Interesting point...

A few seasons ago, the Packers were NOT a good team...and Favre wasn't so good either.

I think the Jets have improved in the off season though...even before they traded for Favre.

They should be a better team this year.

You got it Steeler fan!

The NFL is already HUGE - but this just makes the rest of pre-season awesome.

And his style of play - with love of the game and heart is EXACTLY why people love to watch him play and want to see him in the league and why the NFL commish worked to see this resolved.

Hebrings interest, fans and the almighty $$$$$.

The NFL is better with Brett Favre in it.

Default Favre selfish

I respect your opinion too, but at the very least, Favre was selfish and childish about this whole thing. The way the media fawns over this average quarterback is sickening. No one would care, but the media tries to force us to care about Favre. The league went on without Marino, Elway, and Montana--the media makes Favre out to be bigger than the league--which is ridiculous, given the fact that he is not even in the same group with the guys mentioned above. Most int's in the history of the league--to me that will always be his legacy.
