Default paint

You need to get in touch with Mike Beal. He has all the NFL paints.

DeWayne is right in your backyard, BW! Hit him up for his "Lone Star Royal Flat."

Will just sent you a PM as I was writing this: I used ATSF BLUE from POLLY scale model railroad paints (acrylic paint). I got it at a train hobby store by me. so I'm not sure about its availability. This is one of the best paints that I've used- far superior to the craft paints in my opinion. I just happened to stumble on it as the guy at the hobby store told me it was great stuff so I tried it. Its thin and goes on super smooth, yet the color covers very well. In addition to the quality of this paint, I am so happy with color match of this blue to the Cowboys blue. I believe this could be great for the Patriots and Broncos as well. I give it with my highest recommendation.

Apple Barrel (English Navy) would be the cheapest way to go.

I second that!

I just wish there were more colors available at my local Hobbytown USA.

It's essentially a single coat coverage paint (although I almost always do 2 coats) and it's so thin and smooth that it leaves very little trace that the figure had been brush painted.

These paints cost more than the $.99 or $1.99 craft paints (about $4 per 1/2 ounce bottle) but from what I have seen so far, the results are worth it.
