Default 2009 Paint/Custom Contest-Jan 19 Deadline

Start making your paint/custom entries NOW! Read the Rules below before you ask me a question. Prizes will include Medals, Impact Miniatures coach figure and more to be announced. The winners will also have their figures featured on the 2009 version of the MFCA Promotional Trading cards!

The rules for this fun, creativity encouraged event are below:
  • You must be a MFCA member to enter.
  • All figures must resemble a realistic football player based on a real or fictional team (No monsters, superheroes, sumos etc).
  • Any production or self molded figure or combination of figures parts can be used.
  • Any extras such as chinstraps, facemasks, towels, hand made parts can be added.
  • Figure must be a finished product i.e. painted and detailed and ready to go on the field.
  • Figure may be manipulated in any way as long as they conform to real bodily proportions.
  • 3 quality (high resolution-use your best camera setting) photos of the figure from 3 different angles are required for entry.
  • All photos are to be submitted by email to weirdwolf@weirdwolf.net by no later than midnight CST January 18th, 2009. DO NOT POST THEM YOURSELF. Self posted photos will not be accepted. Blurry and/or distorted photos will not be accepted.
  • The figure must be a new custom! No previously displayed photos from online forums or websites will be accepted.
  • The figure must be created, painted and decaled by you! We have no way of checking this so you will be on your honor.
  • Each coach may enter 3 customs. No more than 2 of these can be in one category.
Three categories
Category 1-Single Pose - One figure on one base on a field in any realistic position

Category 2-Scene - Two or more figures depicting a football scene. (For example: sacking a QB, catching an INT, gang tackling a runner) The figures in the scene category do not need to be on bases but must be on a field. The figures must interact. In other words, they can't just be standing their looking at each other or at the camera.

Category3-No Decals - One figure on one base on a field in any realistic position. No decals allowed. This must be 100% hand painted.

Voting will take place starting Jan 22 and will end Feb 1. To vote, you need not be a MFCA member but must be a registered member of the MFCA forum. Only one vote per forum member in each category. The combined forum votes will count as 1 vote along with the votes of inpartial judges selected outside of the Miniature Football world.

The Judges:
Judge 1-The votes from the membership will be tallied and count as 1 vote.
Judge 2-Warren Moon (HOF QB)
Judge 3-Paul Lukas-ESPN Writer (Paul Lukas obsesses over sleeve lengths, sock stripes, and other uniform minutiae in his Uni Watch column, which has been appearing on Page 2 since 2004.)
Judge 4-Mikey T Torbert (Boss Hogette and founder of the famous Redskins Hogettes)
Judge 5-Lee Payne III (Son of Lee Payne, inventor of the Fab 5)
Judge 6-Nathan Morris (Singer, R&B's #1 group Boyz II Men)

I'll do that soon. I am working up an ad and was hoping to have our celebrity judges in place before I put it up.
