WHAT IS ALL INCLUDED WITH A NEW GAME?
Ok, here's Detmurds with more rookie questions! Not sure if you all know it or not, but I don't even have a game as of yet. I am using this message board, and any other site as a means of doing research, and I am leaning towards buying a Miggle 620 game. The thing that bothers me is in the Miggle products site, is it doesn't describe all the contents that comes with the game? Can anyone explain to me what all comes with a brand new Miggle 620 game? Is there ANYTHING else I will need that can't be purchased at a hardware store to play this game properly? Assuming that players comes with the game, are they boring to look at, or are they specific teams? Also, I do plan to get some extra teams,..is there any other options of player manufacturers I can go with on a Miggle board? Same question goes with player bases?
What would be really great is if someone had a picture of a new game with all of it's contents in the pic as well? Thanks folks,..sorry to be such a rookie! |

For starters, I would recommend you stay away from the new Miggle 620. I suggest you find a coach on here that has a good vintage 620 for sale instead. You can also hit Ebay for them but be wary, that's why I suggested a 620 from someone here who can vouch for it's quality.
The 620 from Miggle can take quite a bit of work to make it play worthy, I have seen some bad ones, some really bad ones and some OK ones, even the OK ones needed some work though. Try a vintage 620. Most of them for sale will have the ball markers, chains, goal posts, TTQB some times, everything you need to play a game. Just ask what is included. If not included hit me up, I can probably dig around and find the field accessories you'll need to play and send them to you free of charge. Most coaches probably have several sets of this gear laying around unused who would be willing to do the same.

I agree with ShabbyJ. I received a "new" 620 board last Christmas. It is NOT worth the money. The older 620 boards are built better. I had to adjust the tension rods underneath the board in an attempt to level and support the field and frame. The older boards have no tension rods they weren't needed. The metal was not as thin as on the "new" boards.
Save up for a "Big Board" or look up "building a big board" in the forum. That's what I am doing. Good luck. |

I also agree with Shabby in that I would not purchase the 620 from Miggle. I have a Miggle 620 and an older 620 gameboard from the 70's. The older gameboard works better. The older board has a crown but that is VERY easy to correct. For now since you are looking for a board I suggest a 620 off of ebay. Hope this helps.

PM's
if you can, allow yourself to recieve Private Messages. this will also help in your research as guys on the board will offer information or advice that is more appropriate for private talking. nothing negative or devisive, and you wont get all the secrets either, but the private talk is better and more suitable at times should a coach want to offer you some things for free, or something like that.
But welcome to the hobby and by all means - ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS YOU WANT.

Here is something else, what is so wrong with an even cheaper Miggle game? Such as the Rose Bowl game? I guess the real question is,..can one make the game fun without having one of the larger boards (players going in the direction intended)? I know the figures probably look horrific, but can't one just buy better ones and use them? Last edited by DETMURDS : 12-02-2008 at 07:31 PM. |
