Default .

Nothing special here. My last name is Tomko. When I was a freshman, (many, many years ago), one of my coaches started callng me Tomkat, and it stuck. Alot of people here in our small town, don't know my real name, or have even forgotten it, but everyone knows me by Tomkat. FYI, this was long before Tom and Kate became "Tomkat", which I believe I have grounds for a lawsuit since spelling is the same. Need to check into that.

Talking Nickname

Coaches and then teachers started calling me RAM at an early age since many struggled w/my last name RAMaglia....It stuck...

Add my first name of Joe and 57 for the year I was born so I don't forget how old I am and you have Joeram57...

I have many other nicknames my wife has come with up in the past 30 years, but we won't go there...LOL

Default Nickname

Mpls is short for Minneapolis (the metro area where I live) and Tom is my name. I did get a kick out of a person at a tournament who said, "hey, it's mipples tom". The avatar is of Mark "The Bird" Fidrych of the Detroit Tigers who used to talk to the baseball and smooth the mound out between innings...a true character.

Raiderman used to call me "Marino" because he thought I looked like Dan Marino.

My wife calls me "Stallion" but that's a whole different thread (or is that Weirdwolf that she calls that).

I called you Marino because you're the prettiest electric football coach out there!! All you need to do now is do an isotoner commercial!

Did you hear that CorEy? Raiderman called ME the prettiest coach in the hobby, not you, Mr. National Prettyboy.

I know, them are fighting words...or at least a throw-down for a "who can gel and blow-dry their hair into the proper formation" contest.
