Default MIGGLE CON XV

Is it just me or is there not enough time to spend more than 10 minutes with people at a time!?! Ok, excluding my 3 games of Miniature ARENA Football with and old rival, "Barnstormer" Matt Miller and a new rival, "Hurricane Pain" Lenny Hargraves.

It was great to meet new friends and see old friends alike.

Til next time,

Jimbo

Yep, that is the case. There are usually 2 or 3 people that you have an extended conversation with and then the rest are "Hi, how are you's?" I completely missed your field cover moment. There were so many others, too many to name, that I would of liked to visit with more.

Hey guys I was thinking the same thing!!! These conventions are like family reunions and I love the opportunity to see everybody...even if only for brief "hellos" and "how are you doing". Beyond those brief interactions though are sharing in laughter, big smiles, and enthusiam that surrounds the convention and those things go a long way. Custom figures, boards, decals- these are not my favorite things about the hobby...its the conventions/tournaments and getting the opportunity to see friends in the hobby and meet new ones.
Joe

p.s. My wife really thought it was funny when people called me "Michigan" Joe. I told her I'm used to it by now.

Default I had the time of my life!

Formerly known as the prettyboy, I now go by NATIONAL. I’ve had it for some years now, but like Ed Scott always tells me, that was 10yrs & 35lbs ago….let it go.
So if you have to PM or looking for a post, make sure you note the change. It’s still new to me, I keep typing in the wrong username. LOL

Miggle Conv XV was outstanding. Norbert and Jim put on a show for the ages. I first want to shout out my Philly group. My roommate, and travel partner Jerry Fulton, and the Spark Jr, champ Lil Jerry. Smokestack Scott, & Brian. Andrew Stewart who showed he is from the city of brotherly love by giving up his playoff spot. Believe me fellas, that had to be extremely hard for him, because he likes to compete! Former Miggle champ Paul Daniels showed up on Saturday night with his son. And the man who is responsible for bringing EF/MF to philly many years ago, I like to call him the godfather of philly EF Myron Evans!!!! You want to talk about starting and running a league, it gets no better than him.
That gave us 9 coaches with NEFL & PEFL ties for the weekend. Not a bad showing for these times.

I had a great time hanging with Detroitchild & Hooper! Was that Shane fight off the charts or what!!!?
To my Great Lakes family – Thanks for all the base tweaking help, Shawn thanks for the scrimmage GLEFL style. Jamel, have that Freddie base gift wrapped for me Sat. BP thanks for helping me with my OL. Chuck L, keep those jokes coming homie.
I will see the crew on Sat. I know Ken will have the hose out for Greg! LOL

Dave & Gutt, you guys were awesome. You kept things moving along nicely.
Ben & David Redmond, you guys have some great pipes! National Anthem was beautiful.
When I got to the hotel on Friday morning, I thought the cheerleaders would be there to greet me, but they weren’t……..I had to settle for Mike Turner & Harvey! LOL. Always a pleasure hanging you dudes.
Jimbo, I owe you a game of AFL. You’re right, those 3 days aren’t enough…that’s why you should’ve stayed that extra day!
That’s all for now, you will have to wait for the Tweak for all the juicy stuff!!!

Finally I want to thank everyone who played the block pools!!! I wish all of you could win. I really appreciate the support. Also those of you that bought some goodies from the Nat’l store!

Yes,
I too enjoyed the weekend.
The most fun I had was watching my son as the EFL bug took him over.
We've played 2 games since sunday. 1st he beat me. 2nd I beat him in a double overtime. What fun to share my hobby with my son.
I am so proud of how he did in his games, and how I saw him and Jaron Turner step up and help out with the junior sparks.
I look forward to my next tourny.
Good luck to all. I hope everyone had safe travels.

Ron C.

First of all let me say Big Up's to Jim Davis for being the Champ. I would also like to thank you for being a good friend and coach for ten plus years. You were cool from day one and you showed my brother and I plenty of luv.

Next, i was glad to see Jimbo, Norbert, Brian, Edgar, Chuck L., Chuck P., Simmie, Jamel, Frank, Ron Bell, Ed Scott, Wil, Mike Turner and Javon, Harvey, Ken Allen, Joe Greco, Dave & Mike yall did a great job putting things together.
WEIRDWOLF and the Face Of The Hobby, Mr. National himself Corey Johnson to anyone that i didn't name it wasn't on purpose.

I would like to thank Mike and Delayne for putting this together especially during these tough economic times.

Ben thanks for singing the National Anthem with me. We rocked the house....

I love the fun and fellowship and i wish we all lived in the same neighborhood.

I will see most of you on the tournament circuit this year. So until then keep on buzzin........
