A salute to all of you creative guys!!!

Guys,

No need to thank me. You guys deserve all of the thanks and credit for helping this hobby raise its level of creativity over the years. The line of creativity that was established by the Big-Dawgs (so to speak), has evolved significantly thanks to all of you guys who have picked up the mantle and decided to run with it.

I'll give you an example:

When I came on the scene... Will Travers and Reg Rutledge were the only guys I knew of that had blocking sleds and the strength drill pit. These items were cool if a coach wanted his or her own training camp. Because of their imagination, they inspired Coach Tony of Tidewater (here in '07) to build his own training camp. Here's some pictures of the fruits of his labor.

Tony made a 1-man sled, a 2-man sled (not pictured), a 5-man sled, a strength and conditioning pit, a ttqb passing drill w/self enclosed net, a tackling dummy drill pit, and a 3-sectioned backstop net for football retrieval.

Like you guys... Tony is another creative person who is bringing his own flava to the hobby.

All I can say is "WOW!"

I guess Tony and I think alike. Similar to what he has, we offer what is called the 308 Footballfigures.com Combine for 308 Gameboard users.

We've been doing this for the past 15 years but never put it out there due to legal issues.

Tony's one of the new guys in the game that brings a lot of energy to the game. He's asked my advise on things and he has done a great job of adding his own flava in the game.

I love the creativity of guys. It shows us that we are only limited byour own imagination, not by what someone wants us to be restricted by.

I can only say that I second your comments. Way back when I first got started there was a guy in my neighborhood that I could only compare to the late Dirk Thomas. The things he did were truly amazing and he inspired me to start painting and trying new stuff. Fast forward 20 years and there is so much passion from new and old alike. Any time you have the younger generation, excitedly, posting pics of their first customs we have done our job to help keep the EF world alive. Thanks for all of the help that you guys have given me over the years. Keep up the good work. And thanks for recognizing an ole gray beard ( well salt and pepper beard ) like me, it truly means a lot.

I just saw some of the blocking sleds about 2 weeks ago. A new member of the community came by our house and shared some of his stuff with us. Part of that was the sleds.

The passing net and 'pas-thru-the-hole' look to be good tools to improve the passing game.

I forgot to add tony to my list of "cowboy lovers".............
